I like that anthem. Can you substitute other cities in the place of Toronto, for example, Greenville?
(Fri Mar 9, 2001 - 4:42:31 pm)
m©:
Of course. any city you wish.. it's actually a rant more than an anthem. before that it was an Antheads song.

I've had offers to move out to San Francisco with my friends, but I'm not really the West Coast type.

New York City calls. You could be close to bela. It's a perfect world. And the music scene is second to none. Sort of.

When I went to visit San Francisco, I was advised not to call it "San Fran," or even "Frisco." Apparently, that's a sure sign of a tourist. They told me the natives called it, "The City." Whatever.....

Sleepy:
Is rOb! going to Athens today? How exciting. Heading down the Atlanta Highway and all that.
(Sat Mar 10, 2001 - 1:59:19 pm)
Myk Murphy:
yeah, rob, it's like calling new orleans "the big easy". locals simply don't do it... unless they're directly marketing something to the tourists, i suppose. around here, one rarely says "washington" and more rare is "washington dc". "dc" is the accepted term. "shithole" is also popular, depending on one's destination therein. as for atlanta, it appears to be doing just fine. last month's event was on the north side of town, and the airport is on the south side. my taxi-based tour, passing all the city landmarks, cost $54. that sucked a bit.
(Sun Mar 11, 2001 - 12:06:53 am)

Just watched "Se7en" for the first time tonight. What a feel-good movie that was. But I appreciate the director's efforts to light everything he does with flourescent-esque lighting.
