Myk Murphy:
yeah, rob, it's been a long time. today i went to a dc area music shop for a cool demo of my favorite recording tool. i love how the demo guy makes the absurdly complex demo look so easy. quite a skilled product rep, really. cubase rules. the germans have done it right.

Please make no references to AIM in this lounge. it is consummate evil. If anyone knows how to program a Cisco 2611 router to block the fcuking thing, I'm listening ... If you wanna see some routing fireworks, load up a sbniffer and watch the packets go all over creation. Well any way ... when is the Naval Observatory gonna fix the moon? I just added it to the lounge and it's broke. I really like it. Really.

I've been up to my elbows in ThinSet all evening. The new floor in the downstairs bathroom is now tiled. Grout tomorrow ... I hate grouting ... you have to wear the rubber gloves or your hands will dry up and fall off. Do you need extra insurance to be a steadycam operator in the XFL?

I always though reefer makes you incredibly clever, but then again I'm sitting here drinking alcohol chatting with myself.

no cakewalk for me, decoy. i've used it, and our keyboardist/recording engineer is a cakewalk god, but i prefer the cubase environment. it is groovy. our keyboardist may switch to cubase, as well. i hope so, since it will help our collaboration. the stuff that steinberg (cubase maker) has released in the last year is out of this world. software drum machines, samplers, synths, all sorts of effects, etc.
