Sorry. I was deleting the free AOL from the computer. Apparently if you launch it by mistake they bill you for the next ten years.
(Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 8:41:18 pm)
Chewing Wax:
DSL nice. Not as fast as cable, but I don't pay the cable company, so it's okay.
(Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 8:43:22 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I think Queenie would be the last person to hold that crack babble against you, whatever it meant.

Decoy:

Myk Murphy:

(Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 10:56:30 pm)
Decoy:
I'm jealous, I can't wait to tell the cable company to go fuck themselves.
(Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 11:01:02 pm)
Myk Murphy:
yesterday my cable modem service was dead when i got home. this happens rarely, and usually it has to do with the connection out back. i went out back to check it out... perhaps the cable needed to be dried off after some rain. i discovered that the cable folks had come by, attaching new cable ends and a new dual coupler. they reversed the cables on the dual coupler, however, so a quick switch got my signal back. mostly, i was impressed that they got in the back gate: it's so heavy, most people assume it's locked from the inside. this cable guy was unstoppable.
(Tue Jan 30, 2001 - 11:32:08 pm)
Decoy:
When I complained about the picture quality if one channel (showing him the other input from the DSS), the cable guy said there was nothing he could do - you see, that's the way the signal just is ... most people don't have TVs this big.

Decoy:
I will have my revenge.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 12:08:06 am)
Decoy:
Myk, you should hunt that guy down and kill him. He really deserves it.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 12:09:55 am)
Mrs Dr GB:
Time to kill everyone. Hey ho.

what is it about cable guys?!? Mine turned up at 8am on a saturday to upgrade the system. They then wondered why i was bleary eyed and grumpy. It was the weekend ferchrissakes!! They were totally crap as well. they didn't check the level and blamed the system for the 'freezing' of the picture. When i questioned it they measured the input and found it was too high. DOH!! They went away without connecting the aerial input, so you couldn't watch 'terrestrial' tv while taping a cable channel. Luckily the system was designed for idiots, so i figured where to plug it in. I might become a cable guy, that way my brain can stay in and be creative and i can go out to work.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 6:10:41 am)
Mrs Dr GB:
Perhaps cable guys train with McDonalds servers. I have yet to see a cable guy with even one star.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 6:13:10 am)
Sleepy:
Jim Carrey apparently got $20,000,000 to be a cable guy, so the pay is good.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 6:39:21 am)
Mrs Dr GB:
Afternoon Sleepy. I have nothing else to say. The rain has numbed my senses, I believe.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 7:10:24 am)
Chewing Wax:
I'm cable free!
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 7:54:11 am)
Heruka:
DSL eh? I've got two more months to go with my ISP. Then my time is up. Must learn more.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 8:14:16 am)
orange:
cable is great..... i now have two cartoon networks. They show the same thing, just an hour apart! Cow & Chicken is on at 11.30pm and then 00.30am! I'm staying up way too late lately.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 8:17:04 am)
Chewing Wax:
Cow and chicken eh? Never watched that. I suppose I should.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 8:31:00 am)
Heruka:
I've seen it. It's ok I guess. Kinda funny. Just my opinion.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 8:57:28 am)
orange:
watch out for the big red pantless guy... he's the best. He's also in I Am Weasel, as the same man created them.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 8:58:07 am)
Chewing Wax:
Is it Rocky & Bullwinkle funny?
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 9:00:05 am)
orange:
Funnier.... like a surreal Ren & Stimpy, with a twisted edge. I think it's the funniest cartoon since the Warners heyday.
(Wed Jan 31, 2001 - 9:01:47 am)
Chewing Wax:
Funnier then Alf Tails?
