(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 12:31:57 pm)
:
some of us are looking at the stars
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 12:47:36 pm)
Chewing Wax:
But it's still light out. And cloudy.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:14:45 pm)
mİ:
Cloudy here too and cold now, winter has come to BC whats a piss ant then?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:21:25 pm)

Myk Murphy:
it appears that i've missed out. to answer your question, mooch, it's a '75 MGB. it's going from white to a deep red wine sort of color. the interior will likely become a light beige, but that can wait. pictures shall be posted on this very sight when completed. oh yes they shall.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:32:01 pm)
Chewing Wax:
and then you'll come get me and we'll go for a ride
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:33:15 pm)
Chewing Wax:
and you'll let me drive
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:38:35 pm)
mİ:
75 eh? nice.. does it have all the pollution crap still on? My 71 Midget was the last year for the 1275cc Cooper with twin su's no Cata Converter ..I miss it but couldnt afford the bodywork upkeep I think the Brits mixed salt into the steel because in this wet area, they were a bitch to stop from dissolving in the spring rain.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:39:47 pm)
mİ:
I painted it 3 times in the 5 years I owned it. sniff
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:41:21 pm)
mİ:
It flew very low. TVR's were no match.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:42:12 pm)
mİ:
You need a sports car Wax.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:42:44 pm)
Myk Murphy:
yes, wax, you can drive, but only around the block. yeah, mooch, the 75 B was the first year of emission controls for Bs, but a new state law now makes smog testing unnecessary for it. the cat may go away, cuz they can get so hot as to start glowing. no need for that.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:44:38 pm)
mİ:
or the glowing under dash wiring harness burning plastic smell. no need.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:47:39 pm)
mİ:
or the reverse polarity batt that will work even hooked up backwards .. but the motor runs rough and gets very hot ..lovely things when they are running well, you got to love them. The clo$est thing to owning a boat. Have good weekends and be careful out there.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:52:47 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Yes. I need a sports car. Later mooch. Stay warm.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 1:56:14 pm)
Myk Murphy:
see ya later, mooch. yeah, at least the electrical is somewhat modern, although not as good as the 77-80 MGBs. still, the electrical is manageable.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:02:35 pm)
Myk Murphy:
there's very little "sporting" about my sports car, wax. to me, a sports car is fast and sure-footed. the B is neither. still, the rev and suspension and convertible top will give the illusion of the sports car, and that's enough for me. also, i love the 1960s-era gauges on the dash.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:07:24 pm)
Myk Murphy:
cool.... i found a picture of a car that looks remarkably similar to mine, when it's done!
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:23:30 pm)
Cushca:
How did we go from industrial-strength vibrators to cars in a few short minutes?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:37:10 pm)
Myk Murphy:
plenty of men on this chat board, cushca. this sort of thing is natural.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:38:57 pm)
Cushca:
Yes dear.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:39:19 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Hello
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:42:45 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Is that your house Myk?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:44:08 pm)
Myk Murphy:
still at work on a swinging friday night, cushca? tell us your exciting plans!
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:44:11 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Is that your hedge?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:44:23 pm)
Chewing Wax:
She's going to Stringfellows for drinks and dancing.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:44:47 pm)
Chewing Wax:
and vibrating
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 2:45:38 pm)
:
crosslegged?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 3:02:20 pm)
Myk Murphy:
no, no.... that's some guy's car pic i found on a british website. i just found a pic of an MG that looks remarkably like mine is supposed to look. the bumper, wheels, rims, and interior are exactly as i intend mine to be. not my car. not my hedge.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 3:03:45 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Come on. It's your hedge. Admit it.
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 3:09:10 pm)
Chewing Wax:
You got them fancy wheels too?
(Fri Dec 15, 2000 - 3:09:27 pm)
Myk Murphy:
those wheels may look fancy, but they're just the old "rostyle" wheels that are stock on MGBs of the day. mine are like that, with the rims, but there's no silver paint on mine. all black. i may change that. boy, i hope the color turns out close to that. geez, those hedges certainly are rectangular.
