Gordy, keep on that radar, inform me of any blizzard like changes, or suspicious acting Mexicans".Gordy, the Radar guy: "Aye, sir".

Radar guy: "I have something on radar.."
Captain: "Can you see what it is?"
Radar guy: "Large object, moving at approximately 38 knots".
Captain: "That's impossible. Nothing mexican can travel at that speed".
Radar guy: "I lost it".
Captain: "What?"
Radar guy: "It seems we're being jammed".
Captain: "Bring it up on the CRO".
Radar guy:" We're picking up some kind of interference. Electro-magnetic pulses. Like...Chinese opera..".

Heruka:
Hmm. I hope none pf you missed the big Best Buy sale today. All cd's regularly priced up to $15.99. I picked up a half dozen. They include. U2 "All that you can't leave behind. Damon and Naomi with Ghost which has no title. Nick Drake "Time of no Reply". Pink Floyd "Meddle". Belle and Sebastian "Tigermilk". 3 Doors Down "Kryptonite". All of which I never owned. In the case of Floyd, I'm rather embarrassed that I hadn't either. Actually, there's a few things that I don't own of them. Oh well. Picked up my nephew a guitar today. A Martin 000-XM. It was on sale. My Sister-In-Law wouldn't allow me to buy him an electric. Whatever. (Fri Nov 24, 2000 - 11:49:51 pm)

Heruka:
were $9.99. Really. Is it my fault I'm a dolt/
(Fri Nov 24, 2000 - 11:50:31 pm)

Heruka:
I voted for President in the poll. Go Sleepy.
(Fri Nov 24, 2000 - 11:52:35 pm)

Myk Murphy:
yeah, heruka, i stopped by the local best buy today, but it was a disaster. they were out of the stuff i stopped by to get. that's a very cool gift for your nephew. my uncle gave me my first guitar. at another location entirely, i bought the new david gray cd and a velvet underground collection for my friend, but they hopped into my cd burner beforehand. mtv2 keeps playing the crap out of gray's "babylon" yet i still like it. that's a good sign. tonight i heard the rest of the album, and was blown away. he's on dave matthews' ATO records. "white ladder" is the album title.
(Sat Nov 25, 2000 - 1:10:22 am)

Queenie:
I saw "Dancer in the Dark" today. Never have I seen so many grown people sobbing in public. Myself being one of them, of course.
(Sat Nov 25, 2000 - 3:38:00 am)

Decoy:
That's a nice guitar, I've never had an acoustic that nice. Let alone for a first guitar. You're a hell of an uncle. And you can get back at the sister in-law by getting him a drum kit next Christmas.
(Sat Nov 25, 2000 - 1:10:19 pm)

Sleepy:
Hello. Martin guitar. And now I have a Nanci Griffith song in my head which mentions that and so I'm going to have to listen to her. If I get to be President, I'll demand that Robyn play gigs in Buffalo, Rochester, Cleveland, Vancouver, Portland and Seattle. Does that please you? And I'll get David Gray to play in DC because he's brilliant.
(Sat Nov 25, 2000 - 3:01:01 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Good morning leftover kings
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 11:53:34 am)

We need a recount!
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 12:03:07 pm)

Decoy:
I went to Staples at 7.30 am on Friday for my special bait and switch moment; it was quick and I left without purchasing anything. That's my policy.
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 12:05:17 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I must have quoted that "special place in hell..." quote from you five times on Friday.
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 12:42:06 pm)

Decoy:
I said what to who now?
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 2:32:09 pm)

Myk Murphy:
ok, thanksgiving is over, it's really time for christmas cheer. been listening to david gray quite a bit in the last couple of days, and as sleepy says, he's brilliant. today i gave the "eye" cd and the "storefront hitchcock" dvd to my friend who came to the recent GLP-RH show with me. it was his birthday, and why not fan the flames of fandom?
(Sun Nov 26, 2000 - 6:36:16 pm)

Heruka:
Robyn play in Cleveland. We've got a better chance of a Democrat telling the truth. There's been some mistake. I purchased my nephew a guitar a couple of years back. He knows the basics. Like how to hold the thing. He actually wanted a mandolin. He absolutely loves Bluegrass music. Which ain't so bad. Bluegrass has artistic value. It could be worse. Good work Sleepy, you've ousted the regime. What do we get after two years? Outdated Haskell pics. Time for a breath of fresh air. Decoy works for you now. Whether he likes it or not. The people have spoken. I love the holidays. The parties, the open bar, the gift-giving, the cheer. Did I mention the open bars? Browns had a moral victory today. Many expected a shut-out. The end score was 44-7. No shut-out there. Gosh. I don't even own a dvd player. Let alone Storefront Hitchcock. I don't even own A Star For Bram. Guess I should get on the ball. Oh well.
