the Onion has the real story
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 12:28:46 pm)

Myk Murphy:
yeah, the onion posted that yesterday, but who knew just how right they were? by the way, read the "gerbil tomb" story.

Chewing Wax:
Even though Fort Erie is technically a "fort" I don't think the strip clubs and bingo halls will put up much of a defense when the 16 inch guns start going off.

Chewing Wax:
I'm babbling aren't I? And what's worse... I have Christmas music in my head.
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 12:40:50 pm)

Sleepy:
Goodnight. The wait should be over by this time tomorrow shouldn't it?
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 1:01:28 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I fear so
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 1:05:43 pm)

Chewing Wax:
goodnight
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 1:05:56 pm)

Myk Murphy:
don't count on it. if this thing gets close enough, they have to wait for overseas ballots (postmarked by yesterday) to make it over here. if the race tightens, we could wait a week.
(Wed Nov 8, 2000 - 1:18:59 pm)

Chewing Wax:
they let foreigners vote?

Dr. Knowitall:
Saturn is the only planet less dense than water. In the unlikely event that a lake could be found large enough, Saturn would float in it.

Excuse me. What the fuck, it's like complaining that you're confused by the SAT answer sheet. Maybe these retards shouldn't be voting anyway. They were sent sample ballots and instructions to boot.

It just makes me so angry; I think I'll go beat up some Nazis.

Myk Murphy:
they say the demo ballots on the wall of the voting place looked different from the actual ballots, and they shouldn't make a bunch of old people poke little holes to vote. in my state, we have a huge electronic board with blinking lights to dazzle and hypnotize the voter.
(Thu Nov 9, 2000 - 9:06:26 am)

Myk Murphy:
in fairness to all voters, that has to be the stupidest ballot layout i've ever seen. placing the ballot choices so close together is madness. having the parties in a zig-zag close formation is a bad idea. convenient that the republicans are at the top of the ticket, unlikely to lose a vote due to error.
(Thu Nov 9, 2000 - 9:13:30 am)

Decoy:
Republicans are at the top of EVERY layout I've seen in New York.

It's not like the mid west where they tell you that God said to vote for for Bush. Like I tell my three year old - ASK FOR HELP.

Cushca:
I think all of these shenanigans merit a poll. Afternoon bastards.

I just heard John Feinstein make a good point on the radio. "What are the chances of a bunch of old Palm Beach jews voting for a raging anti-semite?"

LONDON (AFP) - Britain is being attacked by a breed of "super rats" which have grown immune to modern poisons, and Wimpy outlets pest controllers are warning. The Financial Times quoted from a survey conducted by the National Pest Technicians Association, published Wednesday, showing Britain's rat population has soared to the highest levels in recent memory. With rat infestations reported to local authorities rising 80 percent last year, the association was set to urge the government to launch an urgent investigation by rat experts "before the situation gets out of control and they get into the Chunnel".
(Thu Nov 9, 2000 - 9:52:19 am)

Myk Murphy:
it's time to rearm the british population and go on a rat hunt!

I don't think anything is wrong. Maybe Joe got paranoid and screwed with the settings.
(Thu Nov 9, 2000 - 10:35:45 am)

Decoy:
It's weird - maybe it will just fix itself, we'll wait and see; that the best policy.
