Dr. Philip Impolitic , who does bariatric surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, said: "Patients who come to us, all their lives they've been overweight. For the very heaviest people, particularly those who eat compulsively, some surgeons recommend operations more extreme than the gastric bypass. In those procedures, the patients are left with a larger stomach pouch and a more extensive intestinal bypass. They can eat more, but absorb less. The operations cause more weight loss than gastric bypass but can also cause severe diarrhea and flatulence and pose a greater risk of nutritional deficiencies. Surgeons disagree about whether to use the more extreme operations. With the more pie please and the hey hey hey.

Mrs Dr GB:
My boss is in New York and he left a message saying he might fax me something or he might ring me. If you see him, can you tell him not to phone me? I don't like to scrawl notes when he phones up. If he puts it in writing he can't blame me for getting it wrong. Ta.

Buffalo is like 400 miles from New York. But 6 hours on the Empire State Express and you're in Grand Central Station. Not a bad commute considering how much youo can get done on the train.
