well, my karma is in the crapper today. this morning i drove over... count 'em... TWO birds with my car. it was not my intention. i had a cement barrier on my left, a car on my right, and these crazy birds were, with some irony, diving down to get at some roadkill, i think. i was certain that they would realize their peril and soar upward, but it was not to be. there were about four of them, so hopefully the other pair will spread the news that some meals aren't worth the danger.

after all these years, you don't know how i pronounce it. that's kinda funny. i pronounce it mike, but the british birds always called me mick. in fact, they always say the full name in one breath, like "McMurphy". that makes me laugh when they do that.
