Heruka:
we used to see the Beach Boys regularly. they would play at the Cleveland Indians games, between doubleheaders. back in the 80's, when we would bring our own Kentucky Fried Chicken into the stadium. they no longer allow that.

Myk Murphy:
that's an interesting point, heruka. the smiths certainly sound different to me now, and it's major nostalgia overload (high school) when i listen, but the work was good.

"but don't forget the songs... that made you cry... and the ones that saved your life.
...yes you're older now, and you're a clever swine, but they were the only ones who ever stood by you..."

i heard those words today while i was handling household chores, and i finally grasped the idea that i was in a loop: a song i loved in my past was lecturing the future me, which is now.

Heruka:
heySping, why don't you drive down to Seattle and take a look at this for me? it appears to be an old formula 3 on ebay. and cheap too.

Zidane doubles up England
LISBON, Portugal — Defending champion France surged back behind two Zinedine Zidane second-half injury-time goals to beat England 2-1 Sunday at the European Championship.
(Sun Jun 13, 2004 - 9:05:37 pm)

Queenie:
sounds like a lovely dinner, h, did you grill the chicken yourself? we're having bbq'ed split breasts over here. wanted to get ribeyes but the fuckers were $11 a pound. I'm not paying $11 a pound for anything, fuck you.
(Sun Jun 13, 2004 - 10:00:04 pm)

Myk Murphy:
wow, sounds like everyone had a summertime-style dinner. we have boneless pork ribs (i know, it's oxymoronic) and potato salad, as well as coleslaw. i ate too damn much of it, but it was all very good. it put a dent into band practice, but i don't mind. i rarely mind when people feed me good food.
(Sun Jun 13, 2004 - 10:52:20 pm)

Myk Murphy:
"zinedine zidane" sounds like two drugs marketed by the same pharmaceutical firm. sorry for england, but they can rally back and stay in it.
