(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:16:48 am)

Froupie:
its the same in holland, except with bicyles.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:17:41 am)

Decoy:
Bush? We're asking him leave in the fall. But I'm sure his last desperate act will be to stop buying foriegn oil to prop up the price. Idiot.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:17:52 am)

Froupie:
bicycles even
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:18:05 am)

Decoy:
I've heard that about Holland. The lighter the bike the heaver the lock required to protect it. So you might as well get a lead bike that no one will steal.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:19:00 am)

Froupie:
unless he manages to con his way back in again. he did it before he might be able to fiddle it again.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:19:11 am)

Decoy:
It would take me at least 2 extra hours commute time to use a bike,
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:20:15 am)

Froupie:
no one locks their bikes in holland. you wouldnt wanna steal em theyre old decrepid rusted things. you just ge on the nearest one, go where you're going, and then leave it for someone else. its perfect. you couldnt do that in london you'd get stabbed to death.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:20:16 am)

Decoy:

(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:23:38 am)

Froupie:

bela:
My roommate is really in to Texas. There is this whole Austin contingent in Williamsburg - I think they're all dirty and they're all burnouts. She said there is a high rate of herpes among young folk in Texas because they all screw each other and pass it along. Not much going on there, I wasn't impressed.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:32:02 am)

Froupie:
all the women have frizzy bad permed hair
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:38:28 am)

bela:
I don't know, all the people I know from there, people Julia knows or Rennie, they seem dirty to me. All burnouts.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:41:55 am)

bela:
Julia's pretty skanky in a way.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:42:17 am)

bela:
I feel bad for Julia though, shes been on her own since shes 12 or something.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:43:03 am)

Froupie:
is she an orphan or something?
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:45:30 am)

bela:
Not really. Her father is insane and divorced her mother when she was really young, but he really really hates her. When she was 11 he beat her up and told her he hated her - I think thats funny, I don't know why. But shes never talked to him since really, only when her grandfather died and he still was mean to her. She has a younger brother and the father likes him I guess. Her brother is a real nice guy, he got into Harvard Business school recently. Her mother was doing a lot of drugs when she was young so Julia left and lived in a crackhouse and she sold blow to support herself - 12 years old and she and her mother didn't give a shit, she jsut didn't want julia getting picked up by the cops and then she would get in trouble so her mother told her to stay out of trouble and she could live wherever she wanted. FUnny right? Then she went to job core later and all this other stuff. I feel sort of bad for her but shes ok.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:48:46 am)

bela:
I mean, i left home young but 12 years old? Thats pretty young to be on your own selling drugs - you're still a child really don't you think?
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:49:52 am)

Decoy:
Cat and dogs and Texans.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:50:00 am)

Decoy:
Must not have gotten the parent license, eh. Sheesh.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:51:21 am)

bela:
Its sort of funny we both ended up with the same kind of men and have similar bad backgrounds with parents that really don't care. Maybe its some pattern, who knows.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:51:54 am)

Decoy:
Interesting observation to make about yourself, bela.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:52:46 am)

Decoy:
I mean, it wasn't that bad for you, right? No crack houses and selling drugs? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Everyone has a past.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:55:06 am)

Decoy:
I'm going to shut up now.
(Thu May 20, 2004 - 9:55:16 am)
