Myk Murphy:
Good evening, antebellum architecture afficionados. We strolled charleston today. Very pretty.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 9:09:02 pm)

Queenie:
I'm not clueless to the talent of Tony Randall, I'm just not sure if The Odd Couple would be on my list of fave sitcoms of all times. So why don't you just suck it, Decoy.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 9:16:10 pm)

Decoy:
Meh.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 10:21:04 pm)

Myk Murphy:
Without felix unger, there would be no frasier or niles crane. Heh.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:11:50 pm)

Chewing Wax:
What Myk say
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:26:04 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Sit coms list is a good topic. It's a tough one too.
1. The Simpsons
2. Mash
3. Cheers
4. Dick van Dyke show
5. Mary Tyler Moore show
6. Bob Newhart Show
7. Bewitched
8. I Dream of Jeanie
8.WKRP in Cincinnati
9. Seinfeld
10. Hogan's Heroes
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:34:28 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Oops. I stuck in an extra

(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:34:45 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Let's do favorite movies.

My very favorite is The Big Sleep. Number two is The Right Stuff

(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:36:27 pm)

Myk Murphy:
I find it's difficult to assemble lists like that. I like wax's list.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:43:48 pm)

Chewing Wax:
And then Casablanca and The Third Man in some sort of tie.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:44:03 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Thanks Myk. It's all impossible
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:44:24 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Where does our beloved Happy Day's fit in there? It was so formative what with Fonzi and all.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:45:27 pm)

Chewing Wax:
And Jesus I forgot All in the Family. That has to bump one of them high up.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:46:00 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Night
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:46:20 pm)

Myk Murphy:
With the end of "friends" and "frasier", many are predicting the end of the sit-com as a major tv force in the usa. Will awful reality gross-out filth like "fear factor" take the lead?
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:48:08 pm)

Myk Murphy:
Yup, time for sleep. Big touring day ahead. Nice place, but i couldn't live here.
(Tue May 18, 2004 - 11:50:10 pm)

Queenie:
Simpsons
Roseanne
Duckman
All in the Family

that's all that's coming to me at the moment. I remember watching Happy Days and Good Times and Three's Company and so forth as a kid, but I'm not sure any of those shows from the seventies hold up for me as all time greats.

I never got to see Sports Night but folks whose opinions I trust have stated that it was one of the best all-time sitcoms.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 12:09:00 am)

Queenie:
And I never did get into Mash...which is the biggest reason why my geek creds will never be what they should be. feh.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 12:09:47 am)

Queenie:
well, that and the fact that I can't quote from monty python movies and I've never seen a kirasawa movie from beginning to end and I couldn't tell you the name of the guy who created Magic: The Gathering. .... you know... maybe i'm better off...
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 12:12:23 am)

Froupie:
WKRP in cincinatti, havent seen that in years and years
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 3:35:22 am)

Froupie:
kurasawa is awesome queenie.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 3:35:54 am)

Froupie:
another sweltering day.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 8:32:48 am)

bela:
Yeah, remember when tv was something - real acting, real comedy. I mean come on, you can't beat the acting of the Odd Couple. Jack Klugman and Tony Randall.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:16:54 am)

bela:
Tony Randall was really something else. They dimmed the lights on Broadway at 8 pm last night.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:17:33 am)

bela:
Remember all the actors that played Felix's son on the show? Willie Aimes, Leif Garret - there may have been another one. There were two Ednas too.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:19:29 am)

:
LONDON (Reuters) - Tony Blair and MPs have been forced to evacuate the House of Commons chamber after a powder paint ball was thrown from the gallery and hit the prime minister.

Members of parliament brushed the purple powder off Blair's left shoulder while papers were thrown on top of the powder ball on the ground.

Witnesses said a young man entered the VIP area of the gallery and threw the object. Stewards bundled two people out of the gallery following the incident.

(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:38:29 am)

bela:
I need to get a sofa too but I'm going to get something basic and cheap because Julias kitten claws everything.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:40:18 am)

bela:
She likes using my accordion bag as a scratching post too and I told Julia that and she doesn't really seem care. Nice huh?
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:40:45 am)

bela:
$100 those bags are.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:40:54 am)

Froupie:
that girl needs a slap.
(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:41:36 am)

Froupie:

(Wed May 19, 2004 - 9:42:55 am)
