Queenie:
sorry to hear that decoy. I suspect coyotes or raccoons were the end of my kitties. it's a drag, you have my sympathies.
(Mon May 3, 2004 - 7:16:23 pm)

Myk Murphy:
our two cats, mrs murphy & i offer condolences, decoy.
(Mon May 3, 2004 - 8:27:35 pm)

Myk Murphy:
on a cheerful note, let me express my momentary happiness with bill gates and his boys from redmond. the "remote assistance" tool they stuck in winXP has allowed me to take over my parents' PCs and update their stuff without having to drive over there (45 minute trip each way, if i'm lucky). you have to punch a hole in their firewall router to do it, but it's easy. and, of course, you can seal up the hole afterward.

Decoy:
Remote Desktop Connection has saved the people countless hours, Myk. It is a good thing,

Decoy:
God dammn this webcam is the cheapest possible thing ...
(Mon May 3, 2004 - 9:33:21 pm)

Myk Murphy:
well, i use the remote desktop connection a great deal at work to prevent pointless trips to visit my servers in the server room, but this remote help request thing is sharp. it emails an xml attachment to the "helper" and it allows a password challenge to keep things halfway secure. not too shabby.
(Mon May 3, 2004 - 10:12:22 pm)

Myk Murphy:
i think the webcam was working earlier. we were getting some picture looking into the backyard, i guess. if i saw it correctly, we saw the nose of the directway sat dish. way cool.
(Mon May 3, 2004 - 10:57:18 pm)

Heruka:

(Mon May 3, 2004 - 11:00:19 pm)

Decoy:
The camera itself crashes after a while. Oh well its just something I had lying around.
(Tue May 4, 2004 - 6:57:21 am)

Decoy:
There it goes. The weird little thing even randomly mirrors the image. Bizzare.
(Tue May 4, 2004 - 6:58:40 am)

Myk Murphy:
you're allowed to know it, heruka, but if you speak of it again, i'll order an air strike on your boat when in international waters. there won't even be time to use the globalstar phone. giggle. seriously, that globalstar coverage is disappointing. i love how they block it in china and the middle east. i bet it isn't blocked if you know the right people.

Myk Murphy:

(Tue May 4, 2004 - 8:48:00 am)

Froupie:
i started a non dairy wheat free healthy eating plan today. everything looks good apart from giving up milk, i love my milk. if my porridge doesnt taste as good with soya milk i wont be a happy bunny.
(Tue May 4, 2004 - 9:01:08 am)

Myk Murphy:
you should stick with milk. it's gotten you this far, hasn't it? abandoning it now could spell disaster, if just for the british dairy industry.
(Tue May 4, 2004 - 9:14:01 am)

Froupie:
i'm going to try it for a month
(Tue May 4, 2004 - 9:15:15 am)

Froupie:
wish i could work from home. damn you.

Froupie:

(Tue May 4, 2004 - 9:32:57 am)
