well, it's in the high 40s outside, but they say the temp will rise today despite the persistent rain. the inside temp is 61, and this fire is doing absolutely nothing to change that. there's a raging fire only 18 feet from me, but you wouldn't know it by sitting here.

like space heaters? yeah, i've got one that runs really hot, and i'd rather not burn the house down. too much electrical draw on things like that. i use it in the garage if i'm working out there during the winter, but never in the house. it's a gas fireplace, so it's not exactly any trouble to use it.
