it's so hard to choose.
I like Bush in some aspects, foreign policies and immigration and a few other things, but that's all. and America is not really America anymore, no matter how we may deny it, and no matter how much idiots like earworm wishes our destruction, the US is really an international country anymore. everytime I read something I see something that's a result of America, whether it's land owners rights in China, uprising by "moderates" in Iran or a protest by Kurds in Syria. that's us.

i have similar feelings about bush. i agree with the neo-conservative view of his administration... remake the middle east, with force if necessary, because the status quo was unacceptable. his social, cultural, and ecological policies are just awful. if i could get some assurance that kerry would continue our muscular foreign policy, i'd be sold on him.

the funny part about bush's "lie" to the american people is that he would have sold most of us on it if he had been honest. for many years, it has been well known in military/foreign policy circles that iraq was on a to-do list to simultaneously trigger reform in the middle east and defang the region. the american people would have understood if he had said that the middle east had to change, one country at a time. instead, he played a weak WMD card and the western european crowd saw the bluff.

We need boldness, LIke manifest destiny-type boldness. I agree with Myk. Bush should do it for the right reasons, honest and simple. I looked it up: The Republicans nominated Lincoln for the presidency on a platform of slavery restriction, internal improvements, homesteads, and tariff reform.
