Myk Murphy:
Unlike someone else, froupie, i welcome your views, no matter how obtuse or naive. Giggle.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:45:42 am)

Froupie:
heh, maybe im a communist at heart.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:46:07 am)

bela:
Not yet. We really want this place in greenpoint and we made an offer but its $200 below what they are asking.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:46:20 am)

Froupie:
speaking of which, that gorgeous benicio del toro is playing che guevara.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:46:44 am)

Froupie:
greenpoint, is that still in your present neighbourhood?
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:48:48 am)

Myk Murphy:
Yeah, an easy target with lots of morrocan folks in country to provide cover. As for castro, the old guy still arrests democracy advocates and journalists. He's not harmless.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:50:04 am)

Froupie:
i know hes not harmless. i like his gusto. hmmm. perhaps i'll keep my castro opinions to myself too. hee hee. i'd love to meet him though.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:52:11 am)

Froupie:
i might try writing to him first, you never know. although david icke didnt write back.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:53:25 am)

Froupie:
some temp has rearranged all my desk while i've been away, flipping annoying.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:54:01 am)

bela:
Greenpoint is the next neighborhood over. I live on the border of Greenpoint right now, its about less than a mile from my house.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 9:56:41 am)

Detlef Sping:
Are you selling your WB house?
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:00:55 am)

Detlef Sping:
Hello.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:01:08 am)

Detlef Sping:
Nice to see you made it safely back Froupie.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:01:55 am)

Froupie:
hello, i was pretty safe almost all the time.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:02:18 am)

Detlef Sping:
Sicily is very safe, no one would dare
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:03:40 am)

Detlef Sping:
with Lucifer living there, and all.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:04:11 am)

Froupie:
no, not after i made friends with the local bare knuckle fight from vucherria market anyway.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:04:15 am)

Froupie:
fighter
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:04:23 am)

Froupie:
i met on the picket line of the strike, he asked me if i was striking, of course i said yes! then he sent me to his sisters restaurant, some dodgy place called the shanghai. from there on it was a big adventure.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:05:19 am)

Detlef Sping:
You were bare knuckle fighting in the market?
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:05:39 am)

Froupie:
not me! this guy called rocky. he said that wasnt his real name.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:05:58 am)

Detlef Sping:
the shanghai, eh?
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:06:12 am)

Detlef Sping:
rocky.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:06:23 am)

Froupie:
yeah, then on the last night he told me to go and see him singing at some club, when we got there it was very odd, like a scene from goodfellas. mafiosi central, i tell you.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:07:04 am)

Detlef Sping:
There is a strange bright light and humming coming from outside I better go out and see. back in a minute.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:07:41 am)

Froupie:
so i made friends with them all and drank free booze all night. i had to dance to some cheesy song with one of the old godfathers too. surreal.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:07:53 am)

Froupie:
strange light. be careful. dont let it pull you in.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:08:22 am)

decoy:
if he doesn't come back, i get the theremin.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:08:55 am)

bela:
No, we';re not selling but we are refinancing. I don't know if its a good bad idea but maybe CW Decoy can tell me their thoughts. Tom is going to refinance the mortgage. Its 7% now but going to get a new mortgage at 3.5%. Hes going to pay off the mortgage we have now and take the rest of the money and pay himself back the money he put into the house which was about $80,000 and give me back the $15000 I put into it and then if and when we sell we are starting at a 50/50 split. The new mortgage will cost about the same in monthly payments. I don't know.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:09:46 am)

decoy:
as long as the trip was fun - at least you didn't get rolled or ripped-off.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:10:32 am)

Froupie:
sounds complicated bela.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:10:53 am)

Froupie:
yeah no rip offs. although those italian guys really got on my nerves after a while. lucky i can curse like a trooper in italian.
(Mon Mar 15, 2004 - 10:11:26 am)

Froupie:
the police force are so unprofessional there, even the guy at sicily passport control asked me for my email address. and he was smoking. i tell you, suicide bombers could have a field day in italy. all yuo have to do is chat and flirt and they let you in any official building. i had coffee with the cops in the guardia di finanza headquarters. and i mucked about on their surveillance computer.
