(Fri Mar 12, 2004 - 10:48:26 pm)
Decoy:
bela, you can manage the upscale dog park I'm going to open. Call me.
(Fri Mar 12, 2004 - 10:49:17 pm)
Myk Murphy:
will the park be upscale, or just the dogs?
(Fri Mar 12, 2004 - 11:00:42 pm)
Myk Murphy:
i think decoy has tied a few on this evening.
(Fri Mar 12, 2004 - 11:01:40 pm)
Decoy:
Tying? I'm not following your line of reasoning.
(Fri Mar 12, 2004 - 11:31:14 pm)
Decoy:
Oh yeah.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 5:50:51 am)
bela:
I'll consider the franco calendar. I think it would be a good idea with his scabby nose and his scabby eyes hes always trying to pull out of his head.

Froupie:
ciao tutti! i am back, sadly the only cyber cafe i came across was closed during the 5 hour siesta. i need a week in a health farm to recover---gastronomical overkill.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:59:32 am)
Froupie:
i didnt find lucifer but i did meet a whole bunch of weird mafiosi type Dons on my last night in a restaurant, one of them grabbed me and made me dance with him!
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 8:00:47 am)
Froupie:
i met tons of insane people and i have like 30 telephone numbers of prospective husbands, i'm going to construct a sculpture out of them. ART. and the cheese! the cheese was fantastic! £3 for a huge wedge of parmigiano, i smuggled tons back.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 8:02:31 am)
Froupie:
i joined a sicilian workers strike by accident and met tons of cops who took me out for coffee and laughed when i asked i could have a tour of ucciadone prison where all the big mafia bosses are held. they said its not really allowed and they all had guns. what a shame really, i'd like to have seen that. but i did visit the mummies and the seaside and i ate a whole squid to my myself. fantastic.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 8:08:47 am)
Froupie:
i'm already planning my next trip to cuba, i want to meet fidel castro! va va voom!
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 8:09:34 am)
Froupie:
va va voom!
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 8:13:09 am)
Myk Murphy:
glad you had a good time, froupie. 30 prospective husbands? i'm sure you've got a story or two to share.
as for cuba, don't give that castro guy your hard tourist currency... let other folks continue to fund his brutal repression of journalists and anyone else who says the wrong thing.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 9:27:27 am)
Queenie:
I would love to see Havana.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 2:48:42 pm)
Myk Murphy:
i would, too, but i think i'll wait 'til the old man croaks or the US figures out a better way to get rid of the last bastion of pure awfulness in the hemisphere. besides portland, of course.
giggle. just kidding.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 4:20:33 pm)
Decoy:
So italy was good. Glad you're back, Froupie. Italian men and boys are all over the tourist girls. ITs almost embarrasing for them.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 5:37:43 pm)
Myk Murphy:
bbc news is showing a protest by spanish folks who think that the bombings in madrid only happened because of spain's partnership with the US and the UK. they're marching tonight to tell us that cowardice might have spared them the wrath of a terrorist group. this is quite out of character for spain, which is normally a country that stands strong against ETA bombings.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:11:36 pm)
Myk Murphy:
this would be an excellent time for all european leaders, even from the 5th column french and germans, to stand up as one to al qaeda and stand with the US, UK, and Spain.
they won't do it, of course, but that will be remembered, too.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:16:25 pm)
Queenie:
Did you know that there were exactly 911 days between our attacks and theirs? These are the sorts of things my friend Clyde sits around figuring out.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:27:51 pm)
Myk Murphy:
really? what an amazing stat, if that's accurate. i just did a very rough tabulation and got 913.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:53:40 pm)
Myk Murphy:
so, between the attacks, i guess that's right.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 7:54:04 pm)
Detlef Sping:
That's amazing, I'm selling the ark.
(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 11:06:50 pm)
Heruka:

(Sat Mar 13, 2004 - 11:40:47 pm)

Myk Murphy:
so now the spaniards have thrown the ruling party out of office because standing up to international terror extortion is something that they'd prefer other countries do for them. i'm sure that when britain or america get hit next by al qaeda, they'll breathe a collective sigh of relief and whisper to themselves "boy, i'm glad we got out of that club."
in difficult times, some countries can rise to the challenges faced. some cannot.
(Sun Mar 14, 2004 - 6:12:16 pm)
Myk Murphy:
here's an interesting contrast: consider australia's reaction to the bali bombing vs spain's reaction to the madrid attacks.
perhaps spain needs bela's dog to guide them.
(Sun Mar 14, 2004 - 6:38:25 pm)

Hmm you're right.
