MIAMI (AP) - In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court in Miami, DirecTV has accused O.J. Simpson of pirating its satellite television signal.

The company demanded the former football star pay DirecTV $20,000 US. Federal agents removed satellite TV equipment from Simpson's house in the Miami neighbourhood of Kendall during a search in 2001. DirecTV alleges the devices were "bootloaders," for unscrambling the company's signals.

Simpson lawyer Yale Galanter was in court Monday and did not immediately return a call for comment.

The Awful Truth was a great show. Don't knock it till you've tried it! Truly even Decoy can appreciate the irreverent spirit of sending a choir of old men with voiceboxes to "sing" christmas carols in the lobby of Philip Morris corporate headquarters.

Decoy:
Oh. Hi bela. How was the Greepoint place?
(Tue Mar 9, 2004 - 10:03:14 am)

bela:
Let me tell you, these people are really something. Trying to gouge people. First of all, it wasn't huge, it was about 800 square feet. It didn't have boxed bedrooms, it was a railroad. It was clean and renovated and teh deck and tiny backyard were cute - big deal. Oh, and it is in deepest darkest greenpoint 12 BLOCKS FROM THE G TRAIN. Which really really sucks - for $1700. A joke.
(Tue Mar 9, 2004 - 10:05:06 am)

Decoy:
12 blocks. So they wasted your time. That sucks.

That price is ridiculous. Do these people have a clue as to what is going on in the economy. People are leaving Manhattan and Brooklyn because they've lost their jobs and can't afford their $1,100 studios - no one is moving from Manhattan to WB any longer. Idiots.

That apartment in WB on the L train within the first three stops would be worth about $1500 and no more. Greenpoint is only nice if you live near Manhattan Avenue near the train and all the shopping which is cool. But that is outright bullshit.

Chewing Wax:
Stunning.
(Tue Mar 9, 2004 - 10:18:11 am)

Totally stunning. You could tell they were eager to rent it - Polish people. We're not stupid. What a pain.
