On Friday we went to jojos again, in Pittsford. I had a stuffed breast of veal with mashed potatoes and green beans. And the Mrs. had 1 dozen oysters on the 1/2 with steamed mussels with garlic
and dry skillet roast mussels. Her's was impossible to eat in one sitting.
(Sun Feb 8, 2004 - 6:35:15 pm)
Heruka:

I was on the bridge over the bay today. All the action at the marinas was those ice sailboat things. and the ice fishermen. God that looks dull.
(Sun Feb 8, 2004 - 6:38:28 pm)
Heruka:
those ice boats are superfast. like 50 or 60 mph. never tried one. scary. I used to ice fish years and years ago. I barely go outside in the winter now. my extremities freeze.

No wait, the Mrs has this, I just looked at the menu:
Fried oysters (6 pieces) Clam fritters (6 pieces) with steamed mussels with garlic or dry skillet roast mussels. I've never tasted such tender mussels - just amazing, you couldn't tell where the garlic and rosemary butter ended and the shellfish began.
(Sun Feb 8, 2004 - 6:44:32 pm)
Would you like a bucket?:
(Sun Feb 8, 2004 - 6:57:31 pm)

cheap plane tickets are coming to town here in dc, lemme tell ya. independence, ted, jet blue, spirit... this is pretty cool. bmi is a killer deal to the UK, especially the north, since you don't have to hub through heathrow.
everyone will be pleased to know that froupie's "smart" coupe will be available in the states around 2006. they'll build them slightly larger, with slightly larger engines, but they're going to sell a few Smart cars here. all by daimler-chrysler.

Two-Alarm Fire Consumes Ivory Coast's Embassy
Associated Press
Sunday, February 8, 2004; 9:50 PM
(Washington-AP) -- A two-alarm fire has severely damaged the Embassy of the Ivory Coast, located in the 35-hundred block of Massachusetts Avenue in Northwest, across from Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church.
Originally, the three-story Victorian mansion was thought to be vacant. D-C fire officials later confirmed with the Secret Service that it was indeed an embassy.

Bruce Cockburn's keyboard player stood up in the second half and played a lot of accordion. Julie Wolff. Do you know her? I guess she kicks around with Ani DiFranco.
