(Thu Sep 7, 2000 - 3:58:58 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Watch out. Sometimes those things explode. I've never even heard of hemp beer. Do you smoke it or drink it?

any of numerous chiefly terrestrial pulmonate gastropods (order Stylommatophora) that are found in most parts of the world where there is a reasonable supply of moisture and are closely related to the land snails but are long and wormlike and have only a rudimentary shell often buried in the mantle or entirely absent. Good eating.
(Thu Sep 7, 2000 - 4:16:14 pm)

m©:
We get the foot long yellow ones by the hundreds when the rains come ..where the hell do slugs go in the summer?..maybe they come back to spawn like salmon..
(Thu Sep 7, 2000 - 4:17:21 pm)

Chewing Wax:
The ones here are small and grey and love to eat the deadly nightshade. You can trap em by the thousands by putting out a shallow plate full of beer.
(Thu Sep 7, 2000 - 4:18:48 pm)

m©:
Take care ..watch where you walk..later

Myk Murphy:
i would scoff at wax's "shallow plate full of beer" comment (oh yes, i would scoff), but i used to know a guy who did the very same thing. he believed that he had a "slug" problem in his yard. are slugs problematic? that's one for the ages and the sages, but lemme tell ya, he killed a lot of slugs with his wading pools of yeasty, hoppy death.
