Myk Murphy:
netto? no nettos 'round these parts. sounds quite upscale. for upscale shopping in the dc area, we have fresh fields, whole foods, trader joe's, and sutton place gourmet. oh, and harris teeter is kinda upscale, too.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 3:30:04 pm)

Myk Murphy:

i've learned a bit about netto in the last few minutes. a danish supermarket chain with stores in denmark (duh), germany, sweden, poland, and the UK. none in the US, yet. inexplicably, the scottish terrier is their mascot.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 3:35:30 pm)

Heruka:
upscale mangos?
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 5:26:18 pm)

bela:
This guy is a total asshole. No, I don't plan on doing anything and hes being a lying chump. He said he needed the police report so his health insurance would cover his injury and medication. Since when is health insurance coverage dependant upon the source of damage. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous. Thats why I think he may be up to something. I've talked to my friend Phil who is a lawyer and he said the guy doesn't have a prayer.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 6:20:19 pm)

bela:
I've been to Walgreen's and KMart though. Are these chain stores similar to Walmart?

I saw the Fab Fau Sat night and I have to admit it was a strange experience. They were really good but there was something strangely dorky about it. We had good seats and a table but I gave my seat up to this little old man. I felt bad he was so excited about it and he was straining to see. I think his daughter and son in law brought him to the show. They were so thankful I gave him my seat. I have a soft spot for old people.

(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 7:14:25 pm)

Decoy:
bela, you're just the next source for pain killers for this idiot. Don't give him anything and he'll probably go away faster.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 7:55:52 pm)

Decoy:
Anyone with a source of pain meds can sell it at 300% markup on what they paid, even more if they have insurance. Evil fuckers ... Mrs Decoy deals with them all then time, she's always giving the police and the troopers statements for that crap. so many scammers they can't keep up.

Queenie:
Rick called me tonight from Manhattan. I miss him terribly. But at least I'm going to see Return of the King tonight.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 9:31:00 pm)

Myk Murphy:
good film. gollum kills the hobbits in a hail of bullets. beautifully filmed, like in "the godfather". all slow motion like. also, the sex scene between the dwarf and the elf archer seemed gratuitous, and should have landed on the cutting room floor. still, it's a great achievement for film. i'd give you my review on the film's ending, but i'm still watching the 214 hour, 37 minute epic.
(Sun Dec 28, 2003 - 10:13:46 pm)

Queenie:
Wow that is one seriously epic motion picture. Peter Jackson is indeed God.
(Mon Dec 29, 2003 - 4:29:09 am)

Froupie:
you can sell painkillers at a 300% markup over there? jeezus. say, that gives me an idea...
(Mon Dec 29, 2003 - 6:44:51 am)

Froupie:
that guy is a conman, he probably annoys dogs enough to bite him all the time, its some moneymaking scam... i think tom should headbutt him into 2004.
(Mon Dec 29, 2003 - 6:45:58 am)

Hong Kong promotes Music therapy for mental illness:
HONG KONG, Dec. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- OSIM Healthy City Program -- Music Therapy was held on Monday at the head office of Hong Kong New Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. The theme of the activity was to deliver the message of how music can help maintain, regenerate and reinforce a healthy lifestyle through music sharing, ant-like neo-communism, and 24/7 performance. In the fast pace of daily life, most people in Hong Kong are mentally ill and physically over stressed by their busy lifestyle. The lack of sufficient handling will prolong the day stress. According to an expert of the New Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, a latest survey shows over 60 percent of city dwellers are suffering from mood disorder. The worst case will even become serious stress problem such as mental disorder. Chief Executive Officer of New Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association Deborah Wan said that 60 of every 100 Hong Kong people has got mood disorder or even mental disorder. She stressed that it is important that people with mental illness face up to the problem and consult the doctor as soon as they get sick enough to slow down.
