Charlie couldn't quit his his turkey drinking habit. He would secretly brew turkey carcasses and trimmings in a vat and distill gravy.
"He secretly knew his brew would transform him into a sleep state that would make him virtuously invisible to others around him.
He was happy being unseen."

I know where he's coming from. Anyway, there was a little accident. But nothing really caught fire proper. You really shouldn't put too big a bird in too small a pot. The initial boil, with all the moisture, boiled over. But like I said, nothing caught fire like it had to be extinguished. So the turkey is still cooking and its going to be good. I'll clean up tomorrow.

now that heruka's opening the committee on un-american affairs, he should know that my "second" thanksgiving at my parents' place will also be a turkey-free event. i think someone's getting a honey baked ham or something like that.
listening to arcadia "so red the rose" right now. a surprisingly good album. there are a couple songs on here that could just as easily have been voiced by peter murphy, as opposed to simon le bon.
love the mid-80s production, too. the synths and mic effects are easily classified under "guilty pleasure".

i mistyped the bit about the stuffed roast. i was referring to myself. the roast was not stuffed, except with a bit of garlic. nice and rare.

with 2 cubes of ice? and pour the sotch over ice, let sit a moment and just when the scotch is chilled and the ice starts to melt, that's when scotch is perfect.
(Thu Nov 27, 2003 - 10:09:03 pm)
Myk Murphy:
i usually like my scotch at room temp, no ice. you're right that when scotch starts to react with a little water, it's really good.
