it's such a perfect day. the temp is pushing 70 degrees. i changed the oil in my car, had lunch with mrs murphy, and played soccer for a couple hours. as i sit outside barefoot with my cats on the back porch, i'm in no particular rush to see winter's arrival.

sometimes i see the strangest displays on the paths behind my backyard. today it was a large collection of runners, of various ages and fitness levels, and they were barking out calls to each other. last week, i saw two people riding horses, dressed in proper riding attire, as if they had hounds in hot pursuit of a fox. and we get the deer... cute but confused deer.

I was sitting on my porch one day last summer when I lived in Portland, and a flatbed truck went by with a film crew on the back who were filming a group of Japanese folks following behind the truck on bicycles. That was weird. I couldn't figure out why they'd choose such a dull street to shoot on, there are so many other picturesque spots in town.

Got the Twin Towers DVD, gonna watch it all big and loud tonight, wooooooooo!

I had a chat with someone at work today, he says that America is overrated. in discussing the mexicans, he said their life probably hasn't improved by coming here. frankly, I don't think he's been to Mexico. these are mexicos peasents. If I were in mexico, I could buy one for $50.

greetings, wax. i just built a "media center" pc from an existing pc i have. i added a dvd burner and a "tivo-ish" capable video capture card. i think it works. we'll see. it was a hell of a lot cheaper than that fancy thing decoy wants to get.
