Froupie:
who are Ff?
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 10:51:24 am)

bela:
My husband's band. After the dj played Ff he was talking about Tom saying how great Ff were and that it was hard to hear them in a decent place because Tom always beat up the sound men and club owners but Tom didn't really do that, Jerry did that so i wrote the dj an email and this is what he wrote to me, hold on....
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 10:58:15 am)

bela:
Wow! Apologies for the misinformation. Was Jerry in the band, too? They
were great! That song inparticular I always loved, as well as "Horse
Head" and "Endless Confusion" (a good example of the
f-word-as-thrown-brick thing I was talking about before...)

Thanks for listeneing!

Froupie:

(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:02:27 am)

bela:
Not really. No. They were big in NYC in the mid 90s. Basically did and still can blow anyone away. Really amazing, Tom is pretty talented, hes an asshole but really talented.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:04:05 am)

Froupie:
better than being a talentless asshole! i've known some of those.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:10:20 am)

bela:
True.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:13:35 am)

(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:18:37 am)

bela:
Same shit.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:20:10 am)

bela:
NYC was different then.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:20:34 am)

Froupie:

Agahst at being dropped backwards:

(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:30:36 am)

Decoy:
You don't need to drop them from very high to test that out. They flip over if dropped from 6 inches or so.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:31:43 am)

Froupie:
they almost always land on their feet too.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:33:39 am)

Alt:
thhe trick of a cat dropped backwards is that they flip opposite directions and therefore conserver angular momentum. Thats how they get a flip in position..all energy is conserved

Alt:
note how about halfway down his front legs are twisting clockwise and his feet are twisting counterclockwise

Froupie:
if only they were waterproof like ducks. they'd be almost perfect.
(Tue Nov 18, 2003 - 11:35:18 am)
