Those two shows ended a very very long dry period for me. And I'm really looking forward to the Further Festival on Memorial Day weekend. Not so much for the music though.

There will be no corpses in the foursome today. But I usually start to wonder about the group ahead of us. Badang!

Myk Murphy:
howdy, decoy. i assume that wax meant that he'll see the furthur show on labor day weekend. correct?
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 8:55:37 am)
Dr GB:
When is Labour Day? And, you know, what is it?
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:00:45 am)
Myk Murphy:
labor day is the first monday in september, and it symbolizes the end of summer. most kids go back to school the day after, and so it's a huge 3-day weekend for americans to head to the beach, have cookouts, etc. it's a big deal. it has absolutely nothing to do with the labor movement... not exactly may day.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:06:09 am)
Cushca:
What the flying fuck is a cookout? Afternoon bastards.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:07:39 am)
Myk Murphy:
it's an outdoor barbeque picnic, where males stand in front of grills and broil some burgers, hot dogs, and chicken. kids run around, perhaps some volleyball is played, beer is consumed, etc. it's quintessentially american.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:11:27 am)
:
summer's gone
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:12:22 am)
Cushca:
Thank fuck.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:40:06 am)
Chewing Wax:
I get labour day and memorial day mixed up. Contemplating labour day and the end of summer is very difficult for me and my mind finds ways to avoid thinking about it.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:48:10 am)
Myk Murphy:
summer is hardly gone! august awaits!
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:48:50 am)
Chewing Wax:
or something
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:49:28 am)
Chewing Wax:
Summer is in full fucking swing yes it is. It's actually humid out and the cicadas are buzzing in the trees. I had Pete of chewingwax.com fame over last night and about seven of us had a cookout. I cooked chicken and steak. On my grill. Over charcoal. They way God intended.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:50:58 am)
Cushca:
You're so American, darling.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:51:32 am)
Sleepy:
I stood in a smoky room in Camden and felt very tired and saw forty minutes of a gig and went home. I'm so English.
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 9:59:22 am)
Myk Murphy:
did pete provide sound investment advice?
(Fri Jul 28, 2000 - 10:13:39 am)
Dr GB:
It's raining. What's more English than that? Hello Sleepy.
