News (glub):
"We're expecting heavy rain overnight and rain every day for the next five days," said Bob Bugslag, director of the Provincial Emergency Centre in Victoria, BC. In the last three days, parts of southwestern B.C. have been deluged by record 350-millimetres of rain. A state of emergency was in effect for Pemberton and Squamish. Bugslag said officials were focused on getting supplies to people in Pemberton, adding no food had been delivered to the town of 10,000 since Friday due to washed out bridges. But, Pemberton Mayor Elinor Warner told CTV Newsnet residents were working to take care of each other. "The community has responded. We've got people calling to volunteer. People making sandwiches. We have an evacuation centre set up and there is about 1155 people registered at that now. We have sandbagging being done at some points," Warner said. Most residents were upbeat Sunday, ready to battle through the storms. "There's no shoving in line at the drug store or the grocery store. I don't think there's any panic that we're going to starve or go without things we need," Grace Jones, former disco model, and a resident at a Pemberton seniors' complex, told The Canadian Press.

News (glub):
"They've had no food delivered since Friday and supplies are now a problem," Bugslag said. After the local emergency operation center issued a call for food, local restaurants began assembling all they could, Bugslag said. About 950 homes in town have been damaged, and helicopters were used to deliver heavy-duty pumps to remove water from behind dikes. Heavy downpours were forecast again Monday, and people who disregarded earlier orders to evacuate were being flown to safety by helicopter. "We're expecting heavy rain overnight and rain every day for the next five days," Bugslag said. "Most residents remained in good spirits, tequila helps."

I hope so but hes all doped up on Vicodin. I knew things were bad when he was stiing in front of the tv and he didn't know who won the baseball game the night before. That was pretty sad. I said hey who won the baseball game last night and at first he didn't respond and I asked again and he said really faintly "i'm finding out right now". That was a really bad sign to me.
