I think, at my age, I'm done meeting friends. I thought I was done after Decoy. I'm a kind of single friend type of guy. Then I met a couple really great friends in law school, But now I know I'm done. Except for this website. I consider all you guys friends, in a strange way.

not me. I like meeting people these days. I've been a hermit for several years now. it's good to be social once again. but I could go back to being a hermit and it wouldn't bother me. I like meeting people, but I don't have a need for it. and after a few months, being social will get a bit tiresome. it always does.

good evening, folks. our house got buzzed by fighter jets tonight. while i've heard that other areas have been buzzed, we've never had that happen here. we were enjoying a nice dinner out on the porch when it happened. it was alarming. it was beyond alarming. for a few seconds, i really thought our ticket was punched. mrs murphy was able to see the tails of a pair of fighter jets. a relief, but cold comfort after we nearly pissed our respective pants.

wonder what was up? you live close to a base or something?
There is an army base near our lake home and we get jets but never ver low. Although a few months ago one warm nigh late I was sitting on the porch and a jet came over the treeline and was real quiet and at first I thought I was seeing some UFO or something. As it flew over it ws earily quiet.
