she also used to call me "tootsie ball" for reasons unknown. In a couple of weeks, it will have been one year since anyone's called me "tootsie ball".

hello. we came back a day early. there be storms on the way, and a 90 mile run in open water in thunderstorms didn't sound too fun. I'm kinda sad we did. being stuck on an island full of bars probably isn't so bad.
(Sun Aug 31, 2003 - 11:04:12 pm)

Heruka:
Garbage was good. the mid 90s were particularly good when it came to mainstream music, Myk.

frankly, I'm kind of resentful. obviously I have nothing pressing, but Berthas job is such she has to be back by tuesday. somewhat. I think her job is fucking with my time. who knows, maybe it'll rain all week.
I'm just tired of having to be somewhere at a particular time.

I don't think they figured me into the equation though. had they they would have had to change the grade curve, like NY city schools did recently because none of their seniors would have graduated otherwise.
(Mon Sep 1, 2003 - 12:54:08 pm)

Myk Murphy:
yes, flawed logic, but you're still beguiled by our charm and our highly productive workforce.

i just had a fine labor day. i went biking in my neighborhood, but discovered a soccer field (football pitch) very nearby, and in excellent condition. so, i biked home, grabbed my soccer ball, biked back to the field, and kicked the hell out of that poor ball. needless to say, i can barely walk and my right foot hurts (no cleats), but it was a good labor day.

Footaballa. eh? intriguing, I went shooting in the rain. Turns out I can trap shoot lights out. I never did it before either. I hit about 35 out of 50 clay pigeons. I think I just found mylself a new hobby. I'll have to go buy myself a special gun though. And I got to try some handguns, which was fun. I shot an egg off the fence at 50 yards with a .357, which everybody declared pure luck - until I schooled them on the skeet range. Oh the testosterone flows. I tried a .40 SIG and a couple different .45 Glocks, but the S&W .357 spoke to me. nice piece - I gotta find a picture. I learned lots of lingo, too.
