I suppose so. I haven't listen to them in 10 years probably. I'm no longer a depressed teenager. I'm now a depressed adult.

These people are the worst. This girl just walked by and I heard her say to the guy I work with, derek: "I swear these displays get up at night and dance around and do all sorts of stuff". What a dork. If you're going to say something stupid and not funny - don't say it so everyone on the floor can hear.

euston's more than a silly tube station. that's a big train station for many points north out of london. britrail trains, that sort of thing. i once walked from that train station to a sketchy b&b late at night. scary. they left me a key under a flower pot outside, since i was going to arrive well past normal hours. a clever trick... no criminal will ever figure that one out.

I've come to the conclusion, that we're fucked. America will be 3rd world by the end of my childrens life.

Heruka:
I got to thinking. after watching companies in my area run to Mexico during the 90's. and now watching the outsourcing and H1 visas taking over the IT sector. exactly how is the US, and Europe for that matter supposed to compete in a free market world? we can't. there's nothing we can do at all.
(Fri Aug 29, 2003 - 1:45:48 am)
Heruka:
in my county I've watched thousands of jobs move to mexico and china during the 90's. I've seen communities, towns devestated by NAFTA alone. as an enginner, my job is in jepardy. without factories, there is no need for people like me to design products. I've come to the conclusion that's it's a purposeful effort by the WTO to kill the industrialized nations.

am I missing something? out masbnufacturing is almost gone. anmd now they're destroying out ointellectl caopacity.
I mean, I come from the machining industry. china is now the biggest country in the word for that. people thinks the loss of manufacturing is fin. but they don't consider that with even the lowest paying of jobs, there are supervisores, engineers, Hr people. there'sa whole web of people who, lose their job.

what can I say? I'v becomme radicalized?
(Fri Aug 29, 2003 - 4:33:35 am)
Heruk:
the worst part is, it's the poor and lowerclass that are the most hurt. you simply cannot earn a decent liv9ing without a degree these days. and its nice to say"go to coolege". but not everyone can. even then it's no guarentee. the wroking class has been disenfnchised, much like the middleclass is in the process of ebing.
