today, i saw a bunch of people backed up at that intersection for many miles. it's a summer weekend tradition, of sorts. tourists fuck up our roads, too terrified to merge at a proper speed when they join up with 95 south. the backup isn't half as bad during the week when the locals use it heavily.

i know plenty about southern maryland. i once worked in waldorf, maryland, which is a sort of "last stop" on your way from dc into the scary southern maryland area. the only place in the country where you'll find a lot of catholic rednecks. an interesting combination. headed there soon?

ah, that's not considered "southern maryland". that's called "eastern shore" maryland. queenie is from easton, maryland, which isn't too far from the bay bridge that straddles the chesapeake. salisbury is a nice location, i suppose.
