quite frankly, queenie, mrs murphy and i are getting in a last trip or two before we concern ourselves with having little murphies running around. as i understand it, simply travelling across town to eat at a restaurant with matching napkins and tablecloths is considered a vacation when kids are in the picture. ....that sounds really down on kids. i'm anything but that, but i'm also realistic about our future travel plans.

Such exciting weekend plans you all have. I don't like going out on Saturday evenings, personally. I had a very thrilling Friday yesterday though. I went to the Titian exhibition and got battered about by tourists' rucksacks. Obviously the audio commentary they were listening to through headphones was obscuring my yelps of displeasure. I hate to be an art bastard, but that Bacchus and Ariadne painting is fucking brilliant. Anyways, after the gallery, I went on a freezing two and a half hour herb walk in the rain in Battersea Park with my herbalism class. All I collected was one poxy oak leaf and this morning I found it dried up and crumbled in my pocket. In fact most of it got stuck in my fingernails. I know how to live.
