My folks moved to New York from California
I should have listened when my buddy said "I warn ya" (warn ya)
"There'll be no surfin' there and no one even ca-a-ares"

(My woody's outside) covered with snow
(Nowhere to go now)
New York's a lonely town
When you're the only surfer boy around

>From Central Park to Pasadena's such a long way
I feel so out of it walkin' down Broadway (Broadway)
I feel so bad each time I look out there and fi-i-ind

(My woody's outside) covered with snow
(Nowhere to go now)
New York's a lonely town
When you're the only surfer boy around

The Beach House was run by Woodie, a middle-aged woman, whose head was the size of a tangerine, named after Tonga's late Queen Woodie. Her elderly mother and young kids were also outside since 9am, drunk, covered in snow, but none of them spoke much english so it was hard to tell.

Instead, his lawyer Ken Hadley pleaded for mercy on his client's behalf, saying that executing Longo won't bring back MaryJane Longo and the couple's three children, or make society safer.

"Nobody has come out with a study that says the death penalty deters crime, and eye-for-an-eye type justice is not a good form of justice," Hadley told the jurors shortly before they began deliberations on Longo's punishment.

Am I confused? Is the System really there only to deter crime? Or is it the "Justice System"? If it is there only to deter crime as this women implies, then wouldn't habitual offenders be let free all the time, as there's no use in imprisioning them anyhow? No wonder she lost, that lawyer is an idiot.
