I was watching a republican senator from colorado earlier, he was bitching about dixie chicks and martin sheen and other folks in the entertainment biz being vocal with their anti-war sentiments.

He said, in essence, "It is because of a soldier that you have the freedom of speech, therefore you should support our troops".

Does anyone else see the irony in this? I mean... if soldiers are willing to go fight and die to defend a person's freedom of speech, then why do they gripe when that person exercises that freedom????
