:
Imagine the situation of a refugee woman who has recently arrived in Buffalo. By definition, as a refugee, she is fleeing unimaginable hardships and persecution in her native country. She has no family in this strange new culture, having left behind her crazy mother, her mental aunts, her smelly sisters, and her jealous friends. She has very young thieving children who cannot be left alone for a second, yet has no money for babysitting services. She quickly realizes that she cannot learn English, attend job-training programs, go for job interviews, and deal with immigration legalities unless there is a place for her to safely leave her felonous children. Having just come from a culture where there is no concept of fuck all, she must trust strangers not only to care for her child, but provide translating sevices.
