Chewing Wax:
I have a question for Myk about this fatal flaw in my logic. I'm not arguing one way or the other, I just want your oppinion. If, as you say, Iraq has something to hide, and this is evident in the fact that they haven't disclosed the nerve gas and anthrax they admitted to having, then why wouldn't they simply lie about this stuff and say they destroyed it? They lie about everything else? Why wouldn't they forge up some documents that show it was destroyed? I also wonder what happened to all the sites we bombed in 1998 that were suspected weapons facilities.
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 4:04:00 pm)

Decoy:
Yeah, I wonder about that too, the evidence of the destruction is a tough point. Can't he just say that his dog ate it and that be good enough - at least for the French?
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 4:17:29 pm)

Queenie:
i just do not know what to do with all this archived materials. losing my mind.

(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 6:31:29 pm)

Decoy:
Snowed in? What's that like? Seriously, we got about 4 inches. Almost not enough snow to plow, but its too fun to not play Mr. Plow. Yoko can pull a sled.

Queenie do you still have that interview of you and Ken interviewing RH on Audio? I'll archive that for you ;-)
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 6:46:08 pm)

Queenie:
theo I sure don't, I have no idea what happened to that audio file, but it's long gone. I still have the tape of the RH and GLP interview though.

I don't know, we're getting like 2 feet or something. Cars are totally buried in snow. I went in my back yard and the snow is above my knee. I can't believe it this sucks.

We can around because of the truck.

are the cabs running? the thought of all them mid-eastern men sitting idly by with nothing to do scares me. gives them a shovel and tell them to get to work.

Well here's a thing. Laura Cantrell, who is fantastic, also happens to be a Wall Street hotshot by day. Who knew?
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 7:53:29 pm)

when the roses bloom again. that's a Pogues line. Off Streams of Whiskey. Hello. Do they have country music in the UK? It dosn't seem like it would be a big hit. Although the wallowing in self pitty is universal.
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 8:03:09 pm)

Queenie:
i'm sure they weren't the first to say it
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 9:39:46 pm)

Myk Murphy:
yup, we had over 2 feet here, although the official dc total is lower because they measure it in a stupid place: national airport, right on the potomac. too warm, and precip acts funny there.

ok, about the logic: because iraq has known that the best policy is to cozy up to the french ($1.5B in investments and growing), it doesn't matter what they report to the UN. i think it was just a rush job to report, and they overlooked stuff they should have said "oh, we got rid of that, but didn't document it". instead, they took a proud approach and attempted to further pit the US/UK team against the continentals. as you can see, iraq does this well, so it shows they weren't dozing off in foreign relations class this decade.
(Mon Feb 17, 2003 - 10:24:44 pm)

Myk Murphy:
ok, and as for the russians: saddam owes them a good deal of cash, and a regime change would probably mean that they can't cash in. putin is between a rock and a hard place, cuz he probably has little love for saddam.

by the way, this is costing us way more than it will make us. defending israel and keeping the middle east nuclear-free is worth it.
