that mandela still has me steamed. his mind may be gone, but that's no excuse. he called bush and blair racists because they want to act and "a black man" [kofi annan] is not. i want to hear a chorus of important leaders of that region stand up and denounce this.

I always amused ny the thought that I come from a generation. Myk, always instills the notion in me that no matter where people live or are from, that the way we see the world. our experiences from childhood up through adulthood don't differ all that much. as we grow older, things we go through and see sometimes alter our view, yet still. I just find the whole thing strangely odd really.

Not here in the Lounge. But here in general. when I was a kid we used to find fossils in our yard. of shells and a coupe of fish. I once found one that seemed huge at the time. about 2 ft square I guess. It just filled with shellls on it. all it was was shells. hundreds of shell inpressions on top of each other. I grew up on the ground where strange fish once swam through a shallow sea, and the mighty trilobite crawled into history.

yeah, since you and i have birthdays near each other (in the same year), we're likely to have similar biases and inclinations. honestly, our very similar musical tastes is what i notice. my crowd was kinda mixed... still is, i guess. not one thing or another thing. an alternative crowd, i think, back when the term meant something. some lines were clearly drawn back then, but i never liked excluding anyone.
