Job hunting is like making a movie, at the end of the day you still don't have a movie.

(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:24:16 pm)
bela:
Those idiots that climb the top of Mt. Everest. Idiots. These people in the marathon yesterday wheeling down the road in this souped up wheelchairs.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:24:24 pm)
Heruka:
And Hamilton Ontario. I hear it's real nice there this time of the year.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:24:43 pm)
bela:
I'd like to do some travelling next year. I don't know where yet. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go to Vegas though. Maybe visit my friend in Palm Springs too.

(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:25:36 pm)
Heruka:
the Andes are different. there's alot less snow, none in some areas. and they're older so they're more eroded and aren't as tough as a climb. you can drive half way up them.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:25:55 pm)
bela:
Thats sort of sweet.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:25:59 pm)
Queenie:
well despite what he thinks, I don't enjoy filling him with rage.

If you didn't have a kid, this conversation would be totally different. He speaks from the standpoint of a geeky dad. Remember that. I see what hes saying. If a child is involved, you wouldn't be tinkering around with your movie as much as you do and you would be more concerned with just getting work. I think it has to do with that you seem totally consumed by the movie - we really don't hear about any desires to find work and then boom, you say you're almost on the street. You can see where he is coming from.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:28:32 pm)
Heruka:

Chewing Wax:
Angkor Wat
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:29:59 pm)
Queenie:
well, talking about the movie is far more interesting than job hunting. think about how much you guys loathe me talking about the film, how much would you loathe me talking about fruitless job hunting.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:30:06 pm)
bela:
No shit.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:30:57 pm)
Queenie:
And again... I work on the movie in the evenings after sidney goes to bed. I could try to find a job at midnight but I don't see what good it would do. It's really not something I should be made to feel defensive about, it's not interfering with anything. do you understand?
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:32:10 pm)
Decoy:
I saw an awesome documentary on Ankor. Ankor Wat is just one of the cities. The ancient trees growing through the rocks and stuff, really amazing. The K'mer fucked them over. Fuckers.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:32:56 pm)
bela:
Oh no, I don't think, I'm just saying this is why I think Decoy is giving you a hard time. Not me.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:33:09 pm)
bela:
yeah, some really awesome wildlife around there too but its sad because the poachers catch them and sell them to exotic petstores here.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:34:09 pm)
bela:
Some really crazy looking monkeys I saw. Poor monkeys.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:34:26 pm)
Heruka:
I want an ocelot. can you get me one of those?
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:34:44 pm)
Decoy:
I remember seeing apicture of Ankor Wat in a text book in high school. I always thatought that would be such a far out place to go.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:35:13 pm)
Decoy:
That reminds me - somebody told me that those alpacas are like 6 grand. I hope not.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:35:51 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Nah. I priced them up. They can go that high but you can get them a lot cheaper.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:36:24 pm)
Decoy:
Maybe I can get one that doesn't grow wool and needs a good home.
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:36:42 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I saw some for under a grand
(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:37:03 pm)

(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:37:06 pm)
Queenie:

(Mon Nov 4, 2002 - 4:37:14 pm)
Heruka:
are you getting one or two? when a friend was selling his property, 5 acres in this town, some vet wanted to buy, and he made an offer contigent on the conditon that the city counsel would ok him to have llamas. they didn't. but in the conversation, he mention that the llamas were like $50k. I dunno if that was each, or a prize winning breeding pair or what. but that's insane. they';ve become more popular sonce then, so the prices have dropped. the prices have dropped on all exotics recently I noticed.
