Queenie:
pardon my horrible grammar.

Queenie:
well I really gave this kid a chance, I was happy that Sidney was hanging out with her when none of the other kids would, then after spending some time with her, I realized that the other kids were pretty astute in their observations.

Queenie:
Sidney doesn't care, she loves everybody. But she's got some friends that are just so sweet and sharp and well-mannered and just hip, you know? and this girl is loud, obnoxious, ill-mannered and annoying. I'd hate to see Sidney lose her other friends because of it.

Decoy:
Oh yeah. The ploy I use is to act slightly crazy in front of their parents. Always having a beer in your hand is key. Clean your guns a lot if you have any.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:10:59 pm)
Queenie:
This does all sound harsh, doesn't it? Urgh, I don't mean to sound mean. It just stresses me out. Every day after school this girl screeches, "Can I come over?" and Sidney's all, "Yeah, can she come over?" and I just cave.

I've consumed way too much coffee today. a whole pot to be exact.

Say, I'm sorry not today. Yeah she sounds terrible. I can't stand loud ill mannered kids.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:12:39 pm)
Decoy:
Make sure the parent/s come too. Don't be a fucking day care.

listening to me

Decoy:
Then you subtely work them into not trusting you to supervise their children. Everyone has a limit. They don't need to know its an act. Around here the constant can of beer is enough. I don't know about Portland.

making me feel like I've never been born..

We're listening but Queenie has a crisis. What you show up once a month and expect everyone to care about what you're saying? You need to be here every day griping and complaining and maybe someone will listen to you.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:15:18 pm)
Queenie:
It's kinda weird how you can watch them in a group and sort of peg what kind of adult they'll be, and you can tell who the innovators are and who the creative types are those are the kids I want Sidney to hook up with, you know? But I guess you can't force these things. She's already friends with them, though, but I worry that hooking up with this annoying girl will hinder her socially in the future. Is that terrible???
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:15:38 pm)

lol

Queenie:
sorry theo. I care.

And I can't tell if you're quoting lyrics or not.

No you don't care, you have some creepy kid sucking the life out of your creepy peacenick kid.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:16:47 pm)
Decoy:
Little kids its easier. Wait till she gets into college and has to ditch the crazy bitch. I remember people doing that in college, God it was awkward, but insane levels of drug use really farrets 'em out. So I'm told.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:17:06 pm)
Queenie:
I just remember school all too well and sadly your friends can really shape who you are and what sort of stuff you do.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:17:14 pm)
Queenie:
peacenick??
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:17:27 pm)
theo:
Thankyou Queenie you're a peach.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:18:03 pm)
Decoy:
You'll never be able to tell who to be friends with. You have to teach her how to choose her friends in the first place. See the difference?
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:18:43 pm)
Queenie:
I've already told her not to let this girl monopolize her time, and Sidney sez that she tells her now and then that she wants to play with her other friends for a while at recess sometimes, but then this poor girl gets stuck with no one to play with. maybe sidney can find a way for them all to play together? but the other kids don't like this girl and probably wont' want to play with her. i don't know, it's all so complicated.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:18:51 pm)
Decoy:
...tell a kid who to be friends with...
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:19:07 pm)
bela:
Yeah, you're loving everybody kid. I would be worried about that. Tell her she can't go around lilly livering loving everybody becasue shes just going to get fucked over by assholes. Its true I'm afraid.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:19:24 pm)
Queenie:
how do you teach them how to choose their friends? I mean, in a way that doesn't make them immediately want to rebel? I know that's probably not the reflex a kid this age would have, but in the future she might.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:19:56 pm)

Queenie:
lilly livering loving, where do you come up with this stuff?
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:20:22 pm)
Decoy:
You teach them values and morals and they just know what to do. I think its magic, I'm pretty sure.
(Mon Oct 7, 2002 - 3:20:45 pm)
bela:
It will work itself out. Hopefully this kid will realize which of her characteristics are a turn off to other kids.
