For Christ sake stop.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 5:15:12 pm)
How do you find Buffalo, NY?:
Go south until you smell it, go east until you step in it.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 5:35:58 pm)
Heruka:
There's a geographical problem with those directions. Buffalo lies on the northeast corner of lake Erie, so if you plan on headingsouth then east, you'll be coming from canada, and you have to cross lake erie. If you're coming from the lake, then you won't need to step in it. A better route would go east then south, you'll remain on dry land this way.

Myk Murphy:
i have 2 friends who live right on the water in galveston. i hope they have the car idling in the drive, ready to get the hell out of there. much of mrs murphy's family is from new orleans, so i hope they're keeping an ear open for trouble, too.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:24:08 pm)
Myk Murphy:
wow, that's really damn odd. no posting for 5 hours, then heruka and i step on each other. yikes.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:24:40 pm)
Heruka:
for the second day in a row, racing has been cancelled at the Americs Cup trials. winds are over 20 knots. the boats can't handle that, they're built for the harbor where they're racing this year. engineered to a max. after the races, these 5million dollar boats are worthless for normal sailing.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:24:57 pm)
Myk Murphy:
how ya doin, h? is the weather unnaturally warm in ohio, too? balmy warm night, here.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:25:55 pm)
Heruka:
Hello Murphy. hows life in the DC area? ell me, is thatarea a democratic stronghold? what about Maryland and Deleware?
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:26:25 pm)
Myk Murphy:
the boats can't take high winds? i didn't know that. i figured that they could take anything.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:26:42 pm)
Heruka:
Yeah. 80 degrees today. it's like summer, only it's not summer. so it's actually better than summer. like sex on a weekday. twice as good.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:27:05 pm)
Heruka:
these boats are built according to where the race will happen. take them into pounding open ocean and they break apart, as they have done in the past.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:27:58 pm)
Myk Murphy:
maryland is a tale of two states. liberal strongholds in counties surrounding dc. in virginia, the counties are a bit more conservative, but generally are strong for moderate democrats, as well. then the rest of VA is really redneck. southern republican foolishness. delaware is somewhat conservative, with the farmers and the credit card executives and the hey hey hey...
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:28:54 pm)
Myk Murphy:
damn, who knew? dumb boats.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:29:23 pm)
Heruka:
moderate democrat. an oxymoron. republican foolishness? I think not.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:31:42 pm)
Heruka:
interesting.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:32:50 pm)
Heruka:
I'm morphing into a Libertarian. but I'll still vote Republican.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:36:24 pm)
Myk Murphy:
please, no morphing in front of the kids.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:39:15 pm)
Myk Murphy:
yes, republican foolishness is something you'll see around here. the hicks who populate much of the legislature in richmond are more interested in getting northern VA money and passing laws about mixing religion and the state. it's almost funny.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:40:29 pm)
Heruka:
The west coast is looking less likely for us. California is passing too many dumb laws. It's only a matter of time before the economics over there crashes I bet. Then the small businesses will run to Phoenix possibly. We'll see.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:43:49 pm)
Myk Murphy:
california concerns me greatly. it's no mystery why a lot of folks were leaving. the taxes are an outrage, it's too crowded, or the cost of living is sky high in the places with high-paying jobs, let alone normal jobs.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:47:11 pm)
Heruka:
Bertha still wants Cali. but me, I don't like to surround myself with liberals. She's more liberal than I am. Is this small of me? I'm just tired of people plundering my wallet and showing nothing in return, instead they whine about needing more money.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:49:33 pm)
Myk Murphy:
isn't san diego somewhat more conservative? i hear that's a nice city. have you considered colorado?
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:52:10 pm)
Heruka:
I'd like an ocean. other than that, Phoenix is the obvious choice. it's my understanding San Diego is more conservative than the rest of Ca. I'd prefer Idaho. In the woods. In a shack.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:56:26 pm)
Heruka:
where the ever watchful eyes of big brother can't see me.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 10:57:49 pm)
Heruka:
I have a friend that lives near lake Ponchetrain. on the New Orleans side.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 11:07:39 pm)
Heruka:
maybe, I'll talk Bertha into moving to Buffalo.
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 11:11:59 pm)
Myk Murphy:
that's a big damn lake. an idaho shack... the next unabomber!
(Wed Oct 2, 2002 - 11:12:29 pm)
Myk Murphy:
sweet! departure lounge is playing the black cat here in dc a week from tonight! very cool.
