Hes a big mean oaf. He doesn't care. He clowned that big fat kid in my neighborhood really bad. Tom was sitting in the van and the van says IAS on it for his company and the kid asked him what it meant - this kid is totally nosey and tom said "if you were sitting in this van it would mean I am stupid." The kid said "good one". dork

So Queenie, if you don't mind my asking, what happened to your mom anyway? Was it really a result of her knee surgery? I'm really sorry your mom was really young.
(Tue Oct 1, 2002 - 1:59:27 pm)

Queenie:
they don't exactly -- either she threw another big clot or had a massive heart attack. we could have found out, but really, what difference would it make.
(Tue Oct 1, 2002 - 2:05:20 pm)

Queenie:
it was very sudden. she was fine, then bam. we have a family history of clots and strokes, her father had a huge stroke when she was just Sidney's age, she came home and found him on the floor. he was never really right again, had to live in one of those apartments where they have nurses. and my uncle had a small stroke in his thirties.

Queenie:
we found a will she'd written in 1988 when she had her first knee surgery done. she was married to her third husband at the time and obviously harboring a lot of anger and pain towards him. we all agreed that we were really happy that she'd had ten good years with a very nice man, finally, at the end.

Queenie:
the orthapedic surgeon who'd done the knee replacement came to the funeral, he was really shook up, talking about how he was going to quit the business. he'd never lost a patient before. it was such a freak thing, I hope he doesn't get too discouraged by it.

Ah Ha Ha Ah!:
(Reuters) - The world's five largest music companies and the three largest music retailers will pay $143.1 million to settle a CD price-fixing case launched by New York and Florida two years ago, New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer said on Monday.
