Decoy:
It might fit in the pool.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:13:58 am)
Heruka:
I would seal the top of the tank completely, and lower the water a few inches with floating plants so the frog can get out of the water. if you're going to put a frog in there, get a more agressive fish. no angles or discus or anything like that. I like aquariums.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:16:52 am)
Chewing Wax:
That frog is doomed. If you could keep them they'd sell them at pet stores.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:17:55 am)
Decoy:
I talked them into fish only. That's a relief. I gave her the "wild animal that is used to being free speech."
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:20:03 am)
bela:
Yeah, let it be free.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:20:14 am)
Chewing Wax:
The chlorine in the pool will kill him soon anyhow.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:20:39 am)
Decoy:
They do sell certain species at the pet store. I've seen 'em.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:20:53 am)
Heruka:
they do sell frogs. they're like african frogs and Pac-Man frogs and stuff.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:21:38 am)
Chewing Wax:
Tiny little ones right? I've seen them. They eat mink oil.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:21:52 am)
Decoy:
I keep chuckin' it as far as I can with the eight foot long skimmer net and he keeps coming back. Its been a month or so, he doesn't seem to mind the chlorine at all.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:21:56 am)
Decoy:
African dwarf fraogs and claw foot frogs, or something like that.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:22:34 am)
Decoy:
Nor does he seem to mind the 50 foot arc it flies on out to the barnyard.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:23:29 am)
Decoy:
I've got that low-chlorine system.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:24:01 am)
Heruka:
toss him in the nearest pond, then watch h geese peck at him just before the bass comes up to swallow him whole.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:24:15 am)
Chewing Wax:
How do you know it's the same frog?
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:24:15 am)
Chewing Wax:
Yeh. Chuck it into the neighbor's pond. Or have you already tried that?
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:24:49 am)
Heruka:
you know, frog legs are pretty tastey.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:26:38 am)
Decoy:
There's been as many as three in the pool at any given time.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:26:44 am)
Heruka:
lunch!
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:28:11 am)
Decoy:
Thats a half mile walk. I guess I can put it in a jar. It would prefer the pond; it should.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:28:14 am)
Decoy:
The fence is useless!
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:28:48 am)
bela:
If it keeps on coming back then let it do what it wants. If it hangs out in the pool, it hangs out in the pool. Maybe it likes those kids grabbing at it.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:28:53 am)
bela:
Put it in a jar? What are you 8?
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:29:37 am)
Decoy:
I guess its adopted us.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:29:53 am)
Decoy:
Alright, I'll put it in a Glad reusable storage container then.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:30:31 am)
bela:
Yeah, pretty much, it may move out on its own someday. At one point I thought Wolfie wanted to move out and move downstairs but he didn't end up doing it.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:30:56 am)
Decoy:
They hibernate over winter, right?
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:31:57 am)
bela:
I think so, is it a big bull frog or one of those little tiny toad frogs?
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:32:51 am)
Heruka:
I taught my nephew to catch frogs on a fishing pole. it's not as easily as you would think. you have to set the hook before the frog spits the little lure back out. and these things can be quick.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:34:54 am)
Decoy:
I think its a Green Frog. Its about 4 inches long with it legs folded up, skinny, smooth skinned, and has some brown and green spots.
(Tue Sep 3, 2002 - 11:35:22 am)
Heruka:
Seamus crashed a party Sunday night. the neighbors, a young couple who live two houses over and across the street were throwing a huge party. and at about 12:30 am Monday I took Seamus out in the back without his leash. and he took off. usually when he takes off he comesback within a minute or so. he just cjecks to see if the neighbors kids are out. well, he didn't come back and I didn't see where he went. so I walked up and down the street with no luck. so I pulled up a chair and waited on the frnt porch. when about 2:00am people start coming out of the house and leaving the party and I notice someone carrying a dog. I walk over there and the wife is holding him. she puts him down on the ground and gives him to me. I apologized for his behaviour and mumled something about he's a social butterfly. she said it was no big deal and thateveryone loved him. I'm still uncertain if the people leaving were going to take him home with them.
