Basically, a vedor fucked up on a quote for this bi yearly thing we do. Last time they did it it was like 4,000$ and now its over 6. So I asked the vendor why so much more - I told her I would have to have the facts straight for the imprints it was being done for and she said, well, we misquoted you last time, we quoted for a 1/c press when it should have been 2/c. So I tell the imprint that. My boss writes me this:

I would have preferred to have the difference in price be explained by the paper, and number the pages, or even the imposition (1 form out on a sheet vs. 2). The vendor making an estimating mistake doesn't make them look very good. Or us.If they made a mistake, they should have told us that there was an error and than they'll stand by the price, but to understand that it would not be honored the next go round. They were having a sale, and now they're not - sort of thing. Know what I mean?
