I will. They've demonized smoking with bad science and half truths. Now there's a brainwashed army out there who's sole purpose inlife it is to make sure no-one smokes. I'm not saying it's not bad, I'm saying they have very little substantated proof. Now their gaining steam for fast and fatty foods. They'll tax those things too. The insurance industry owns a lot of representives.

they were discussing taxing cigars up the wazoo, till someone mentioned that they've never done a study on them. even a fake study like the cigarette ones. isn't the whole point about cigarettes that they've added things in them. Good cigars have NOTHING added. so if they make the same claims on cigars that they did about cigarettes, they'll be contradicting themselves.
(Tue Jul 2, 2002 - 4:36:36 pm)

Queenie:
You don't really inhale cigar smoke, do you? I mean, obviously you're breathing it, but you're not straight up inhaling like with cigarettes, right?

A lot of the chemicals released while smoking are the same as in car exhaust, but car exhaust contains a MUCH higher concentration. But no one concerns themselves with that secondhand smoke.
(Tue Jul 2, 2002 - 4:42:22 pm)

Heruka:
No. I've been smoking cigars since I was in high scholl, and to this day I cannot inhale a good drag of a cigar. I can inhale some smoke, which I like to do. It tickles my lungs.
(Tue Jul 2, 2002 - 4:42:52 pm)

Heruka:
we were supposed to hate the tabacco big wigs because they ADDED chemicals. early in their capmaign, that was their calling card. I mean, people have been smoking tobacco for thousands of years.
(Tue Jul 2, 2002 - 4:44:33 pm)

Queenie:
You could idle your car next to a group of people and they won't give it a second thought. Try standing next to them with a cigarette, though, and they'll waive their hands around and fake-cough all offended like.
(Tue Jul 2, 2002 - 4:44:50 pm)

Queenie:
