Yeah Heruka, theres some of that going on, but both sides are Irish. They're a rough hewn folk that grew up on the streets of post WW11 Brooklyn. Tom's mother is tough man, lived through a lot of bad shit, basically grew up on the street. These people aren't educated at all - I don't think any of them can read.
