(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:44:41 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Not much at all. Hello. Sleepy was asking if you were still in Ireland.
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:46:12 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Having a blast?
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:46:19 pm)
Myk Murphy:
yes, just a bit west of you, sleepygirl. things are very cool here. like london in miniature, if you want the truth about it. mrs murphy and i like dublin, although it's a far cry from the rest of ireland, as you can well imagine. we met a nice guy at a pub outside of town, and he works for guinness. he gave us 2 free passes to the guinness storehouse place. 2 free pints... like i need another pint! very nice of him. nice folks here.
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:47:10 pm)
Myk Murphy:
having quite a blast, waxboy. although it's rainy as hell, it hasn't dampened the revelry out in the bar district (temple bar area). really, it's a lot of fun. heruka would like it quite a bit, i'm sure. he's been here, though, hasn't he?
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:48:25 pm)
Chewing Wax:
No. He's never been.
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:49:09 pm)
Myk Murphy:
oh, ok. he would have loved the pub in kilkenny... we were sipping pints of cider and stout to the strains (and i do mean strains) of the Pogues. it was awfully good. how are you doing, old friend?
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:50:30 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I'm sick with the flu. When are you coming back?
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:51:22 pm)
Myk Murphy:
i'm pleased that this internet cafe is even a better deal than the ones out in the smaller towns, and the connection is faster. sweet. i can't get enough of the beer. really. try as i might. lots of americans in dublin, but pleasantly, lots of EVERYONE in dublin. very international. they had a general election today here. i wonder how the results will shake out. lots of political posters.
(Fri May 17, 2002 - 2:52:15 pm)
Myk Murphy:
flying back in on sunday. so close to the end of our trip. tomorrow we'll tour dublin properly. go see trinity college, the castle, and the guinness brewery. maybe even the jameson distillery. mrs murphy likes that idea quite a bit. a regular drunk, if i ever saw one. giggle. (she's sitting here reading this, of course.)
