Balázs Bernát:
The only problem being of course I don't know where I'm supposed to be meeting you and your kleptomanical booze hound diplomatic friend. Just tell me where and I'll try to arrange Fed Ex overnight on the Aunt's account.

Myk Murphy:
The test for foreign service isn't too bad. I took it ages ago and passed. The oral test is the hard stuff.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 12:13:37 pm)
Balázs Bernát:
ew
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 12:14:09 pm)
Myk Murphy:
I wonder if the foreign service will get a boost off the patriotism and the embassy tv show and the hey hey hey...
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 12:29:16 pm)
Myk Murphy:
Still, i'm glad that i didn't get the job. The last fifteen years have been hard for people there. They say that things are improving now, so bela's friend has something to look forward to.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 12:48:19 pm)
Myk Murphy:
All alone. Free lounge beer for me!
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 12:49:54 pm)
bela:
Uugh...food coma....
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 1:05:03 pm)
Queenie:
Back to what the good Mrs. Dr. said this morning, I wouldn't put up with any abusive man, even if he was Henry Thomas. I've played that game before and man, it's just not worth it.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 1:48:45 pm)
Myk Murphy:
So, bela, does your friend like his odds? For the test, that is.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 1:57:36 pm)
bela:
I don't know, he'll pass it I'm sure. HIs life doesn't bank on it thats for sure. Hes an ex classical musician reclusive weirdo world traveler that drinks way too much. Its something to do for him while hes out of a job. He figures what the hell.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:15:38 pm)
bela:
Oh I thinks its worth it to put up with abuse if the guy is good looking and successful enough.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:18:48 pm)
Heruka:
Perhaps I should take this test.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:22:24 pm)
Heruka:
I'd still like a spanking from Kathy Ireland.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:25:46 pm)
Heruka:
Tra la la.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:27:37 pm)
bela:
Yeah Heruka, take the test.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:34:11 pm)
Heruka:
I know you're out there, I can hear you thighs rubbing together as you scuttle about.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:34:54 pm)
Heruka:
I think you're being sarcastic, but I can pass it I bet.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:36:37 pm)
bela:
What? I'm not being sarcastic.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:37:23 pm)
Heruka:
this is dead time for me. I've nothing at all to do. Nothing.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:38:12 pm)
Heruka:
but it won't last long.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:38:32 pm)
Heruka:
I may be out of a job. my boss is trying talk his wife into heading west. New Mexico. North West New Mexico. Teaching Indians how to handle their liquor. This wouldn't happen till after the present project is finished, sometime in Aug. or so.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:41:17 pm)
Queenie:
Geez, a whole carload of people want to come up from LA and help me shoot a trailer. It's sort of flattering when you consider that these folks are up to their eyeballs in aspiring filmmakers and they still think my story's worth a 900+ mile trip.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:49:48 pm)
bela:
Thats cool, let them do it.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:50:38 pm)
Queenie:
This one boy is dead set on playing the lead. His cousin's best friend is apparently some sort of genius tuba player in Texas and is the same build and height and nationality and they keep telling me what a fantastic stand-in this Texas boy would make for the LA boy. I sent him some scenes to read on camera. But I don't know. I kind of really have my heart set on someone else. Myk knows. ;-)
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:51:06 pm)
Queenie:
I would love to let them do it, but I don't know where they could crash or anything.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:51:50 pm)
Queenie:
I've seen this LA boy act before in a short film. I can maybe sorta see it... I don't know. I'm going to wait until they send me a reading on tape.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:52:47 pm)
bela:
Yeah but he most likely plays tex mex / cujunto styles. Thats not what you want.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:53:08 pm)
Queenie:
Yes, they say he specializes in Tex-Mex. But it's OK. I figured out long ago that I would have to find several tuba stand-ins, because the whole point is that Frank is so good that he can play anything in any style -- polka, rock, tex-mex, classical, Celtic... and I doubt such an tubaist actually exists.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:56:46 pm)
Heruka:
I'm hungry. I can go for some 'tex mex" right about now. or seafood. I'd really like a lake perch sandwich right about now.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:57:10 pm)
Queenie:
Except for maybe walter. ;-)
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:57:13 pm)
Queenie:
Well go catch one.
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:57:22 pm)
Queenie:
Would a person who plays tex-mex primarily use a button-box kind of tuba?
(Wed Apr 10, 2002 - 2:58:11 pm)
Queenie:
Versus a piano one? I really need to learn my tuba lingo.
