The whole east sdie of America was planted. Ohio has absolutely no original forest remaining. New Jersy has the most original standing timber on the east coast. Even Vermont has few original timbers. There are few areas that can be considered "natural areas". Even the Native Americans hacked America down like crazy. It's an environmentalist myth.
