There's an interesting article about chicken coops in todays Wall Street Journal. Apparently, chicken coops are a hot item now amongst the upscale crowd. I'm such a trend setter. Although I think pheasents and grouse would be more interesting to raise. I'd still like chickens.

eradicating the problem:
The world is filled with morons. It's obvious enough and not exactly a new development. Of course the problem is that 90% of them consider themselves not to be and would agree with the sentiment that, in fact, the world is full of morons. Therein lies the difficultly in eradicating the problem.

Ruffles is a good, kindly natured animal, a guide dog. I do not deserve him. His ability to act and think beyond his species serves my situation all the more. Soon enough I will teach him to talk and things will be perfect. I will teach him to talk and sing and answer questions in a belligerent tone. And then he will replace me. A talking, singing dog. And I will remain here, thankful that I am not out there. I will remain here and wait for Ruffles to return. I will do my best not to pass out into the toilet.

Our latest POMN idea is to offer websites to the bands -- like www.somedumbband.pomn.com -- and we would offer a free page with banner ads, or for a small fee, several pages with no ads. I would get to create like four templates with all the graphic elements, and it would really build up our community. It's gonna be cool. But we can't do it until we get POMN moved from it's current home to our own web server, which we have to do anyway because the company we're hosted with is phasing out hosting. The hosting is going to be taken over by an affiliate company who will NOT offer us the free hosting like the other place was in exchange for all the customers we brought them. Yeah.

So we went to this Mexican restaurant I know. I grew up with the owner. He's not Mexican, his parents were Peurto Rican I believe. Anyhow. We order sit down at one of the tables and waite for our food. Everyone in the place was staring at us, we're the only white people in there. One of the people next to us said ina hushed voice "gringo". Not in an insulting way, but he was talking to the others sitting with him, gringo is the only word we understood. They make great hot sauce though..... Zoolander tonight.

It is sunny. I have escaped from the house, which is being decorated externally. Sticky paintwork means that I can't close the windows. I was nice to the painters. I gave them tea and biscuits and I let them choose a CD to listen to which I played loudly in the living room. They chose 'Nirvana Unplugged'. They were at my mercy really.
