Queenie:
Out west, you say? Where the heck are you? My brother and his wife decided to take Sidney for the night. Unexpected good fortune! When we were at the school carnival tonight, they'd turned the auditorium into a dance, with this really awful DJ whose speakers were all blown out and everything, and he was super annoying and he looked like Kiefer Sutherland, but not in a good way. So I made some joke about it, and my brother just started riffing on it, calling him Grandmaster Kief and DJ Jazzy Kief and anyway it was really funny.

rOb!:
I got my tickets to see Robyn H. next month. I've seen some really great shows since I've been out here.

Queenie:
I'm very mad at Hitchcock because for the first time in ten years, he's not coming here. Lousy bastard.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 1:00:38 am)

Queenie:
I just wrote my Heino scene. And now I'm fucking exhausted.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 6:18:34 am)

Chewing Wax:
Oh thank the The Lord. rOb! is alive.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 10:16:21 am)

Myk Murphy:

(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 10:51:55 am)

Chewing Wax:

(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 2:39:32 pm)

Heruka:
I've got boxes of crap I'm trying to unload. Junk that I've held on for years thinking I may need it someday.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 4:03:03 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Well now my collection is complete. Thanks again. The cancelled stamps alone are worth a fortune.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 4:21:58 pm)

Heruka:
I thinbk you're being sarcastic. Are you anrgy cause all I've sent you is odds and ends? Although the Gy Chadwick cd is great. Spectacular even.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 7:45:36 pm)

Heruka:
I've planted pumpking and watermelon seeds today.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 7:45:57 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I'm not being sarcastic. Why would I be angry? I appreciated it.
(Sat Mar 23, 2002 - 8:34:37 pm)

Heruka:
Do you like the Guy Chadwick cd? Or is he not your bag. I was going to make a compilation disc, but I figured I would probably start it and never finish. Although my intentions are good, I have the tenedency to not follow through. Cops is a repeat tonight. I used to guy Ralph Snart comics way back when. 10 years ago or so. He's the classic beer drinking women misunderstaning American male. He was great. I've got a stack of those I have no idea what to do with.

Heruka:
I've cpme to the conclusion, except for a few brewers, I prefer domestic beer to imported. Sure Guinness is great, and during the summertime a Corona with a slice of lime hits the spot, with it's light, limey flavored taste. Refreshing, less filling, and you can drink a tonb of them and still remain sober. Mostly. But the pack of them, with their foo-foo names, and hip European imagery. Heinekan, with a name lkike that, no wonder it's popular in gay bars. Give me good old Miller Genuine Draft. Or Busch Light, for that watered down taste. Working mans beer.

Myk Murphy:
god, i hope you're kidding. as for euro beers, here's a hint: if you've seen a tv ad for it, skip it (guinness excepted). true for american beer, too. craft brewing is at its peak right now, and life is too short for drinking bad beer. on another topic entirely, a few friends came over to the murphy home to watch "zoolander" on dvd. this film is very funny. god help me, it's true.

Well...I can relate to Herukas emotion..sometimes a good ol' domestic beer is refreshingly good and cheap on a hot summer day..But on the same token I love a good euro beer and or a fine local micro-brewery concoction...But my all FAV. Brew.Treat Is:

No exceptions.

Porter was the first commercially brewed beer. It was named for the train porters who were its original servers and consumers. Samuel Smith’s Old Brewery, Yorkshire’s oldest, reintroduced authentic porter to the British beer scene in 1979 after an absence of more than 50 years. Very dark, fairly full in body and packed with flavor. Intense, dry tangy character of roasted barley. Oysters on the half shell, Rockefeller or Cajun style, clams, mussels, crab cocktail, lobster bisque and other shellfish, smoked mackerel pâté, veal with green peppercorns, porterhouse steak and of course chocolate. Serve at 55 degrees in nonik or tumbler.Platinum Medial, World Champion Porter—World Beer Championships“One of the world’s five best beers.”—Michael Jackson
