I like the photo too, but Ansel Adams work is overwrought at this point. Calendars, mugs - all that crap.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 4:51:24 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I agree. But I can't help it. I just love that photograph.

Myk Murphy:
i wonder if that liebowitz show is still going on downtown. i meant to go see it. by the way, i really liked wax's b&w photos. there appears to be a security camera above her head on the corner of the building, making the image a bit disturbing. nice.

Chewing Wax:
There was a big fancy pancy french painters show here a while back and saw works by all them guys, but the one painting that just sort of jumped out was a little child's portrait by Rembrant. It stole the show.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:05:07 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Thanks Myk. I've never noticed the camera. How cool.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:05:35 pm)

Myk Murphy:
the pics taken by hubble are art in the same sense that the clipper ship photo is art. sometimes you can rely on the photo's subject to be artistically interesting in itself; therefore the transmittal is art by association.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:06:39 pm)

Myk Murphy:
i notice those sorts of things.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:06:52 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Not Rembrant. I'm retarded. Renoir.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:11:33 pm)

Queenie:
Hey is it OK to go to a wedding without a gift? Are there rules about that?
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:11:59 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I'm thinking, Jeez, Rembrant ain't French. That can't be right. I'm retarded.
(Thu Mar 7, 2002 - 5:12:14 pm)

Chewing Wax:
