Myk Murphy:
it's true about the bribery. we got my niece and one of my nephews to behave during our wedding, thanks to mrs murphy's bribes for the little monsters.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 5:14:57 pm)
Myk Murphy:

(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 5:15:34 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Urp. I had extra ham on the big ass calzone tonight.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:21:37 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I'm on the all calzone, chicken wing and meat diet.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:21:59 pm)

100-car pileup closes I-90 in Penn.February 27, 2002
Snowy conditions contributed to a deadly 100-car pileup in Erie, Penn. this afternoon.
At least 3 people died in the wreck near the I-79 interchange, according to WKYC TV-3.
Traffic is being rerouted near the accident site and the Pennsylvania police are asking motorists to stay out of the area.

Heruka:
I must concur with murphy. The Aussie accent is one of the coolest I've heard. They shut down the college.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:55:16 pm)
Heruka:
For the evening. Shut down the college for the evening.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:55:44 pm)
Heruka:
Because of the weather. The roads are pretty rough.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:56:20 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I can't stand the Aussie accent. It really irritates me. Love a woman with a British accent. The Liz Hurley. Mmmmm.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:58:47 pm)
Chewing Wax:
100 cars? Were they all insane?
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 7:59:13 pm)
Heruka:
PA doesn't use salt, they use ash, almost useless, but no rust. I've been on 90 in PA during a snowstorm, not fun. The English accent is not much more than a variety of squeaks at different decibals.

Sleepy:
Remember that you try to speak our language too. Bah ha ha.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:18:42 pm)
Sleepy:
I'm becoming nocturnal. Oh dear. Getting to bed by 2am is my current goal.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:19:45 pm)
Sleepy:
That and world peace, of course.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:20:10 pm)
Sleepy:
I wonder what happened to next door's cat? I saw it once, sitting on the stairs. And then nothing. The scratching post was outside their door a couple of months ago. Maybe it joined the circus.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:21:21 pm)
Sleepy:
I have so many books to read. I thought that having all this spare time I would plough through them. I see now that it is inclination and not time that is the key.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:23:00 pm)
Sleepy:
How's your evening course going, Heruka? Are you studying for a qualification or just for pleasure?
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:25:06 pm)
Heruka:
Hi Sleepy! The life of the unemployed. Stay up late, wake up late. As long as you're waking up before noon, you're still on the positive side. I hate cats anymore. They spray in my roses. That fills me with rage.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:26:09 pm)
Heruka:
Fine. Pleasure mostly. Plant biology and construction materials. Although the construction materials helps me now that I'm doing civil engineering type things.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:27:46 pm)
Heruka:
BIOL 1150 Plant Biology (4 Cr. Hrs.) Foundations in organismic biology related to plants. Cellular basis of plants, plant cells and tissues, their structure and function, and basic energy relationships of cells. Structure, function, taxonomy, ecology, and importance of plants to humans. Labs focus on experimental greenhouse studies, observations of plant morphology, and identification of local plant species. (for non-science majors)
See, fun!
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:30:56 pm)
Sleepy:
Plant biology, eh? Reminds me of school. That was preferable to dissecting beasts. One of my friends worked in a butcher's shop at weekends, so we always let her do the gruesome stuff. I remember that our form room was the Biology Lab one year. Every time we came back to room there'd either be a pickled rat on our desks or the locusts had escaped.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:33:14 pm)
Queenie:
I got her some hot chocolate, a Powerpuff Girls sticker book, and a balloon. And some cough medicine. She seems happy.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:35:27 pm)
Sleepy:
Maybe you can arrange a mini-concert at your house when she's better, so she'll have a chance to perform.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:36:20 pm)
Sleepy:
Right then. Must convince myself that I am tired and that I want to go to sleep. Goodnight plant-lovers.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:38:18 pm)
Heruka:
The frogs! The poor little dead frogs! I hated cutting open things. It's one thing to gut a fish if you're going to eat it, it's another to cut it open for the pleasure of it. I can't deal with that. It's just not normal.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:38:53 pm)
Heruka:
I drink too much Pepsi, it's the caffiene that keeps me awaye usually. Sweet dreams.
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 8:39:40 pm)
Myk Murphy:
the aussie accent is like all others: it varies by class and by region. (i'm sure there are other variables, too, but i'm tired and i can't think of any.) anyway, i once met a posh girl from canberra (this is not the beginning of a limerick) with an accent that just melted me. it was similar to the new zealand accent, which is also nice, but this was better. i'll always melt for an accent like hers.

Chips Rafferty:
Too roight Mite!
(Wed Feb 27, 2002 - 10:58:10 pm)

I knew a woman from New Zealand and she had the sweetest, softest voice I'd ever heard.

Chips Rafferty:
Loik steam from an oyster, Sheila.

Mrs Dr GB:
I really AM a loser. I felt a small frisson of excitement at the thought that tomorrow it'll be March and I get a new Dilbert picture on the calendar. I need more excitement in my working life.
